Had 2 weeks at the Mira mola apts with my 2 kids 11 and 14 , apartments are excellent value. however everywhere had closed around us. all the bars and shops and given up the ghost and packed up for the winter.
Hired a car through Bravo good prices, visited aquarium and caves , not much to do for older kids. disappointed with the write up on the resorst in skytours brochure bossa had about 3 bars left open , thank god for Big bens bar or we would have been in bed for 9pm everynight.
dont go with families after the 13october , why do tour operators send you to places that are closed, its expensive self catering , tito at Mira Mola bar is the cheapest place to eat and Home Loos in Figuretas for excellent food.
Weather was very mixed left in the thunderstorm at least its warm rain in Ibiza!

Glass bottom boat

The little glass bottom boat fm Portinax was great loads to see and takes you into a cave , worth every penny and something to do on a cloudy day. you can feed the fish and they jump out of the water to eat the food shame they didnt tat the kids too.
Request for you bar owners open a family pub films cartoons etc not all a famillies what to watch football, sport etc every day for 2 weeks. famillies still come to ibiza but for how much longer??

Sorry to hear that most of the places were closed when you went with your kids; hope the weather was okay at least. It's always worth it to go during peak season if you're a family. When I go during peak season there are so many kids and happy families that I get jealous that my family didn't take me on holiday like the Europeans do!

The season was a very short one this year. It began late because the May Day weekend was a week later than usual and then in October flight prices got really expensive which dissuaded any last minute tourists so in Santa Eulalia at least, everybody started closing their businesses early. I had friends that flew in from London during the last week in September for £120 each return, the same flights with the same airline in the first week of October were £500 each. I guess that the airlines don't like flying here so late in the year. The weather in October was unusually poor too which didn't help.

Let's hope that it's better in 2008.

you;r right there.i was looking at flights in oct.coming up at £244.00 £179.00.now every year they go down about 5 weeks before i wish to travel.to £80.00 £129.00.but they did not go down till 3 days before i went.i booked a cheap one way from ema £50.00 and back to donny for £78.00.4 weeks before i went.i had to do this cause i would not have got paper work i needed for hotel.mine you weather was really bad some days and nights.but a least i was away from work and house work.
