What a great week....
Positives ? - great weather, great drink (well lot's of it), great people (HI to those people from Colombia, Panama, USA, Italy and Denmark - especially that girl from Denmark !), great music (the breaks tent at UMF was awesome, a female DJ caught my eye though can't remember her name (Kswing ????)- tall, dark hair, cute as hell and well into what she was doing, 15:00 - 15:45 set time). The subliminal tent was worth the entrance fee alone - Harry Romero, Eric and Seb Fontaine did some damage. Hearing the human league's don't you want me baby was just superb)
Negatives ? - Organisational chaos at UMF ( no mention of not allowing cameras but not letting you enter if you have one which cost me 2 hours and a 55 dollar taxi trip back to the hotel (must mention the holiday inn in Downtown here - couldn't even let me use a safety deposit box even though I was staying at the Holiday Inn SOBE and am a platinum card holder with their god damn group). Disposable cameras available once inside though!!!!)), Space (usual rip off - must be something in the name. No way did you need advance tickets as you were herded along with everyone else), Ultra after party (made to wait almost 2 hours to get in then women and men made to queue separately, again no cameras but no mention of it beforehand (just an exercise in crowd control IMO - not enough taxis to get people away from Ultra so let's get them over to somewhere nearby and open up once the crowd has dispersed). No advantage to purchasing tickets in advance), Radio1 Nikki beach (made to queue for two hours at the hotest part of the day. No capacity restrictions. No information passed to thousands queing outside. Difficult to get OUT of the event !)
Major tune for the summer.... can't say for sure but you're gonna hear "Pump up the jam" being dropped in Ibiza.....
Would I go next year ? Absolutely no question about it - YES !!!!!!!
