Just got back from Ibiza- Club Ratings

I just landed back in the states after 10 days of heaven. It was my first trip to Ibiza, and it most definitely will not be my last. I'll do a little rating thing of my nights there.

Friday night- Got in at 2:30am and just got trashed at Manamana by our Jet place in Playa D'en Bossa

Saturday- Hed Kandi at El Divino- Great set, vibe was good, but some Brits were a little too heavily medicated to be speaking to people.

Sunday- Space.. great day...Groove Armada was a bit of a let down, although the last few songs were amazing

Monday- Manumission- I loved it although a lot of people said they didn't like the music. All I cared about was that they played Axwell Feel the Vive and New Order Jetstream.

Tuesday- Defected at Pacha- AMAZING SET by Sandy Rivera, great time, even though I got a bad pill.

Wednesday at Pacha for the first time- Morillo tore it up, and I took a girl I had met on Sunday night up to the terrace...wow...does life get any better?

Thursday- Cream @ Amnesia- Funky Room tore it up, Tall Pall was sick...and I heard this house version of Phil Collins' Easy Lover, which I loved. Tiesto was ok, but trance to me is rookie stuff.

Friday- Pacha- Vibe was totally dead, and Jeff Mills could be the worst DJ I've ever heard...we left before Tong even came on. It was packed and it stinked. Good thing I had a lot to drink at the West End prior to arriving.

Saturday-------Bye Bye Ibiza

Sunday- Home in NJ and I want to kill myself...haha

Long live the white Isle....what an amazing experience

Sandy Rivera rocked when I saw him too. Only thing that ruined the night was the Defected MC (hope he was gone?)

What exit are you from in Jersey? :lol:

I'm from DC and went to uni in Boston so I've spent many hours on the illustrious NJ Turnpike.

At Defected, did they get rid of the annoying MC that they had on opening night (Jun 21), or is he still hanging around? Seemed like such a waste when Rivera puts in the hard work to ruin it with that.

MC=master of ceremonies. It's a person who keeps yelling out stuff like "Lemme see those hands!" and "You're partying with Defected" on an amped up microphone all night long.

What was so wrong with Jeff Mills on friday @ Pacha?

He's usually great, so i guess the croud there sucked and thus the lack of vibes and atmosphere (very common for Pacha unfortunately)

Nothing, IMO. I thought he played some good accessible techno which kept everybody jiggling happily.

I think maybe jerseyboy's problem stemmed from the extended West End drinking session.

Methinks copious amounts of lager + Jeff Mills is not such a good combination.
