Exit Festival for July

Well, the flights anyway.

Flying to Budapest for one day and one night on 9th July, then getting the train down to Novi Sad, five days there for Exit, one day in Belgrade, then fly home on 16th July.

Bring it on! 8)

sounds good Becki, I've heard nothing but good things about the Exit festival!

how many days is the actual festival?

It's for four days, so we'll have a day at the start and two days at the end for relaxation!

I'm really pleased at the flights. Going directly to and from Belgrade was going to cost £250 each, but flying into Budapest and out of Belgrade cost only £130 :)

Nice! Is it 4 full on days/ nights of just music?

It's basically an all night event... so the music starts at about 8pm and carries on until 8am the next morning. For four days! There's a lot of non-dance acts there though so I will definately have at least one chilled day (famous last words ).

I'm not camping either, apparantly by the time you've collapsed into your tent at 8am it's like an oven in there and impossible to sleep in!

by the sounds of some of the mixes i have from exit last year it will be a corker to go to.Green Velvet (mix and live) and Richie Hawtin rock!

Doing exactley the same thing only getting there a week early for a holiday. Got apartment booked for £20 a night(no way am i staying in a hot sweaty tent) then it's off to krakow in poland the following week8)8)8)

I have booked up too. Last years was excellent.

Becki Have the flights gone up that much then? We booked oure direct to Belgrade for £161 each last week.

Sorry Becks, it does actually state on the ticket that ALL first timers MUST camp.

Hotels are only for people that have 'done their time' sweating it out on the campsite!

(It's actually not that bad...kind of forces you to get some sleep before the madness of the next evening)

Obviously feel free to tap either of us veteran 'experts' up for any advice etc as per necessary ;)

It is rather ace though :D

To fly direct to and from Belgrade on Wed 9th - Wed 16th is now £230 each! Initially we were only going to go Thur-Mon and the flights are even more, I think about £260 return, quite a lot for only a few days away!

Besides, we've got a whole day and night in budapest and we've heard it's a really nice city. The train down should be a good laugh - I am booking my ticket well in advance though so I definately get a seat!

Dan - I'm a bit of a HMW I need some home comforts, especially after clubbing!

The guys we went with last year didn't use the 'L' word, though they did say it was quite an experience ;)

All we needed was a stove, though we even managed to sort one of those out.

Actually I think I'm going to miss the camping bit.

There was a certain sense of success as we made (proper) tea at 8am in the morning.

If tents had aircon...

I have read some bad reports about the train, so I'm in two minds whether to get it or not. Exit are saying that they are putting on extra carriages this year, they must have had sh1t loads of complaints last year. If not we'll get a bus or a taxi down, depending on how many of us there are I guess. I'm sure we'll make it there somehow, even if I have to bribe a Hungarian farmer for his donkey and ride it down!

What are you doing about accomodation?

i'm veryu excited about this - been watching videos on youtube and it look amazing

i have millons of questions for you both, to many to type at mo though

Camping, of course!

Well, not really... though I must add that the campsite was pretty good for going round and meeting like minded individuals, and chattign about the events of the do's. Even though it wasn't perhaps the most diverse cross section of British society (i.e. full of kids from oxbridge travelling on their gap years, all quite wierd actually... I think Rob and I were the only chaps there without some fancy name like Tarquin or Sebastien, but anyway I digress...)

In fairness I will actually quite miss that aspect of it all.

Sorry, back to the original question... Probably Rob and Erins floor...:lol::lol:

Seriously, we're looking at hotels this week.

From memory, it's not like Ibiza where even the smallest of B&B's has a multi-lingual website with online booking etc. Most places just have an email address that you have to do your booking through (which I myself aren't too keen on).

There's a 'main drag' thet we'll be looking to get near, though in fairness the whole town is very small, and the walk from end to end can't be more than, say, San An.

Well let us know where you decide to book and we'll try and aim for the same place. I have seen some apartments for rental, but in all honestly they look like something Borat would live in! No five star luxury here it seems lol

The problem with the train is there are only 2 a day from Buda to Novi Sad and last year my mates couldnt get on the train at all so where 12 hours late in getting to us. But having said that the did sit in a pub all day having an eye opening experience. Ill tell you about it some time ;)
