Ive been the same week for the last 5 years now, its my favourite week cos everyone is fresh and looking forward to a new season. I usually go in September too but by then it seems everyone is just waiting to go home, still have a great time though!

I think you must be stalking me we've done this week in June for last 5 years too, plus always a trip in September too

Tbh I prefer June as well, everything is all clean and shiny and new and the line-ups are always fab imo

Is there definately no music there then this summer? I had heard that they had applied for a Discoteche license and it had been granted, as the reason the music was turned off was that they only had a license to play music and not hold a disco?

If not Ill just have to take my stereo to the beach and get everyone to dance round that

I've not really been following the story. I think what you say is correct but as far as I know DJ Gee wants nothing more to do with it. I hope it's just like it used to be. We'll have to wait and see though.

Yes i think Bora Bora will operate as usual but there will be no Gee. That should just mean there would be more dj's playing per day tho wouldn't it?

On the Bora Bora website Gee says that the authorities could not guarantee that they won't get closed down again next year, and that the only music that would be 100% acceptable and not risk closure was chill out music, so he decided that rather than go back and risk being closed down again that he's not be involved this year.

Stansted, 6.05 Saturday morning The plan is to have sleep over at Jamies the night before but I can't see us getting any sleep and just going straight to airport

Even though everyone knows bora bora isnt going to be happening, everyone's still so optimistic about it all, i reckon it'll be worth popping down there to see whats going on this summer. There will probably be loads of rebels trying new things - this could be the start of something new!

And instead of saying you experienced a bora bora party you'll be saying you were there in the summer of 2005 when the clubbers rebelled against the end of bora bora and started a beach revolution.

Someone should hire a sound system, a generator and just have big beach parties every day, dont know how they would recoup the money but Im sure if you passed a bucket round for donations to keep it going people would chuck some cash ion.
