June 05 Ibiza Music Observations

Some things I noticed on the island that I made a mental note of passing along:

Most overplayed song: Pump the Jam

Runner up: Let the Music Play

Saving grace for Let the Music Play: Killer remix played by Deep Dish

Biggest Hit: As expected, Blaze feat. Barbara Tucker - Most Precious Love (though, to be honest, dub version gets a little monotonous)

Songs I fell in love with: Yoshimoto - Du What U Du (Trentemoller Remix), Deep Dish - Say Hello

Song my wife kept forcing me to repeat in the car: Sharam Jey Feat. Brixx - Push Your Body

Best compilation I bought: NastyDirtySexMusic, of course (also picked up Eivissa 05, Release Yourself 05 and Danny Krivits in the House)

Two songs that, for better or worse, will most likely immediately instantly remind me of Ibiza 05: Blaze-Precious Love and Deep Dish-Say Hello
(after Lola's Theme & Back Together last year, Little More Love & E Samba in 2003, Safe from Harm & Just Won't Do in 2002, Another Chance and Finally in 2001)

Were you still there when they played it for the second time @ Pacha, they played a 20+ minute version of it and they were bouncing round the DJ booth like loons :D

Deux - Sun Rising Up is what will remind me most of this hols and has happiest memories :D

Good to hear Say Hello is being played loads now as it was practically ignored last year becuase of that other one they did (flashdance?) that was really big then :D

They played Flashdance with a Dire Straits mash-up in the middle which was blinding :D

Ooh, one half of Deep Dish was at Shindig, Newcastle a couple of months ago and he played that version, the whole crowd went off it. :D

Haven't seen it anywhere yet though. :(

The Flashdance/Dire Straits mash up was tasty.

I don't remember the end of the Deep Dish night too well  I think I was still there for the long Say Hello... What a great tune... makes me want to close my eyes and just sway with the music

Update: a week's passed now and Deep Dish - Say Hello just won't get out of our heads! The wife's got a clip of it as her ring tone now!

What a great melodic tune.

I was sent the CDR of the Deep Dish Vs Dire Straits cut up.. Will be most definately taking this one to play during my sets in Ibiza in a weeks time.. 8)
