Friday 25th January 10pm till 4am
Upstairs @ Clockwork
96-98 Pentonville Road
London N1 9JB

This night will feature a 3hr set from Detroit Techno legend Juan Atkins playing an eclectic set of some of the music that has inspired him over the course of his illustrious career and of course some of his own unique productions. The night will see Juan taking control of the brand spanking new 8k sound rig and unique wooden dance-floored salsa club space upstairs at Clockwork in London's Islington.

The first Birdsong Music session saw Kenny Dixon Jnr AKA Moodymann tear up the dancefloor at Plastic People with a midweek night of music and mayhem. For this party we've given Juan - one of the undoubted originators of the Detroit Techno sound - musical free range to play whatsover he wants, so expected something special.

Quality dance music strictly for the heads this party will also feature your host Andy Bird taking it deep on warm up duties alongside D-Mancini (Inbred Recordings) performing live, a hot new London electronica talent and one to watch for 2008. Influenced by his Uncle, Henry Mancini, Detroit Techno & early Acid House his emotive rhythms grab, move and not let go of a dance floor!

This should be an night to remember and a unique chance to see a genuine musical pioneer in an intimate setting on a fantastic sound system.
