All this travelling talk - I wanted to give you my top tip.

Obviously you're not going to be carting loads of sleeping stuff around with you a) because of valuable back pack space and b) hot weather...but this luxury item is a must and one you wouldn't necessarily think of:

A silk sleeping bag liner - will sort you out a treat! 8)

Quite expensive but you'll thank yourself for it later on.

A silk sleeping bag liner :? What will we do with it? Sleep in it :?

I'm confused!

we did plan on bring a normal bed cover, just in case we end up in some right dirty, doggy, flea ridden places...

is silk for the extra comfort?

Well its too hot for sleeping bags so a liner is great on its own (for sale in most camping shops)...you can get cotton ones - which are a bit sweaty and stick to you...but th silk ones are wicked.

Can't recommend them enough.

We wont be camping tbh, we'll be staying in hostels and guesthouses for most of our trip (I hope!).

if you are staying in a lot of hostels / budget hotels in SE asia, I would highly recommend bringing a liner or sleep sheet... some of the budget places I stayed in didn't have much in the way of bedsheets and some that did... I'd rather use my own bedding!

I think we're going to bring a double duver cover to lie on/in if we end up in any dodgy flea ridden hostels!!!

TBH though we're not travelling on THAT much of a budget that I will be prepared to slum it with the cockroaches ;) Although if the money starts running out I might not have a choice!

what you got linned up then, bringing a package to Thailand?:)

what package are you on about?! :?

just being stupid, cos I thought we were on a budget.

what we have to remember is something will go wrong, inevitably as I'm involved, and we might have to splash out on something unexpected, which will distroy our budget...

It's Thailand - if you want to stay in the best places you'll still benefit from a liner. ;)

The islands are backpacker focused destinations and 'flea ridden' is something most commonly found in India. ;)

I think we're going to take a duvet cover. Thanks for the hint anyway ;) I've heard silk is pretty cheap in Thailand, maybe we can pick some up out there!
