As with most jobs abroad, you probably won't be able to receive a definite offer until you are there. So many people make promises of coming back to work in the summer and then change their mind or arrive later than promised, that bar owners will not commit to a position until you have actually arrived there. It is best to book an apartment for a couple of weeks while you look round for somewhere more permanent to live for the summer and look for a job. This way at least you have a guaranteed bed for a few weeks
