ah but offensive to the few.

funking religion... ban it! - causes no end of shit.

Saw the first few minutes and got bored of it.

How many complaints did it really get? Wasn't the total before the screening something like 400? Which is what percentage of license holders?

Tell 'em to funk off. I'm sure they cab trust their God to wreak a terrible revenge on those of us who weren't offended. Perhaps a mighty natural disaster of some sort. Ahhh....but that's already happened, killing randomly, whatever shade of creationist b*llsh*t those wretched folk believed.

Perhaps they should all join one far right Amercian church, whose God fearing members are being led in prayer that no Swedish missing are found alive, because Sweden is a heathen country that worships no God? Or the militant Muslims who have descended upon Aceh (I think) preaching that Muslims who died did not follow Allah's word and those who survived had best take heed.

*lightning bolt strikes Buckley* - I don't funkin' think So...

they got 20,000 before the screening from people who obviusly hadn't even see what they were complaining about and 400 afterwards.

A number of BBC directors had their personal details including addresses published by a fanatical Christian group. One guy has a young family and they have all had to go into hiding because they have had death threats and stuff thrown through their windows 8O 8O 8O

Stand corrected on the stats your Scoobyness. The rest of my argument remains.

Surely 'an eye for an eye' means they should retaliate via TV

From The Guardian this Saturday....

· A website representing the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas, has expressed hopes that the 1,900 Swedes missing in southern Asia will be declared dead. It said the country was a bastion of immorality and perversity and cursed by God.

I'm only criticising religious people who think that their completely unproven beliefs overide free speech and those who use religion as an excuse for abuse of any kind against their fellow man.

A distinction between the people refered to in the this topic and all other religious people? Who's lumping them together? Not me.

I find the bulk of all organised religion extremely unlikely, based on logic, but I have no problem with anyone believing anything they like, no matter how unlikely as long as they equally willing to accept everyone else's right to freedom of speech and belief.

Healthy debate is good folks, hope no-one's getting offended and hope this doesn't get locked. This stuff fascinates me.

But mainly I just look at how amazingly well this world was made; everything has it's place, everything in perfect order (Except us). Could it of just happened by chance? Mathematicians say that it is roughly 1x10 to the power of 200,000 chance of this world we live in happening again somwhere else.
