it was possibly the worst dj set i have ever seen in my life. it had absolutley no direction, i dont mind hearing different music in a set but as long as it flows. but Mills was all over the place, playing a cool funky tune one minute then banging out a ripper the next & he did that all night. his mixing was also absolutely shocking, i dont mind a dj having the odd dodgy one but he must have had at least 9 or 10, it was embarrassing, u should have seen the looks on the faces of the other guys in the booth. i would even expect that from the guy down the local pub. eventually i just had to laugh, but if i was the guy that booked him i would have politely asked him to leave. My mate and I arrived at the conclusion there must have been technical problems or that he was smashed, probably the latter.

well that's what happens when you book Mills to play a house set. It's like booking Erick Morillo to play a trance set.

He is a techno DJ and while he can play lot's of good housey stuff, techno is what he's good at. If he played his usual full-on detroit techno sound, he would have cleared the terrace.

I was there and totally agree....

From what i'd read about this guy i imagined being totally in awe of his technical skills...in the end we left the club after 1 too many galloping horses trampled on our toes... ;)

Such a waste of Sasha's set....was that really all they could come up with at short notice?

I've seen Jeff Mills a few times and I think I can safely say he is the worst mixer I have ever seen, makes Dave Pearce look like Zabiela.

I understand he's a bit of a legend, but mixing isn't exactly the most difficult thing on the planet and he constantly trainwrecks throughout a set.
