i did a post about this ages ago, but can't find it. Thus the reason for this new post, sorry.
Now that Louie Vega has put his all time favorite classics together for a new 'Choice' album featuring music from Yello, The Clash and Mos Def, Jeff Mills is psyched to let the world know about his deep roots in black music and the early forms of electronica. Mills has compiled music from his own respected producer colleagues such as Blake Baxter, Ramirez, Bandulu, and Joey Beltram.
Expect classic tunes on the album including the Carl Craig remix of DJ Q's 'We are one', Jackie Moore 'This Time Baby' and Teddy's Pendergrass 'The more I get the more I want'. Mills' choice of records may surprise you but there's more to his personal collection than the music he usually plays at parties.
Jeff Mills is still on top of his game and this month he plays at a few parties that have been very important for the progression of Techno in Europe: Mayday in Germany (30th of April) and 10 years of Fuse in Belgium (16th of April).
Mills: we salute you!
