Wifebeater.

And a Bellsniff?

I appreciate the man had his demons later on in life, though if all your too lazy to summise the guys entire contribution to life with more than one word, then I think you're somewhat of the mark with that snidey comment, son.

Suffice to say my opinion of the guy will regard him as having the luck of working witht he greatest backing drummers popular music has probably ever known, though that's not to detract from the fact he's one of the greatest showmen of our lifetimes.

And he appears in The Greatest Simpsons Episode Ever. Not many people can say that.

Don't care what the guy did. If Hitler was really good at the Bongo's would that make it okay? The guy continually beat his wife, not once, accidentally... continually. The guy's a c***, as soon as anyone dies in this country they are portrayed a legend, everyone forgets the bad stuff. Far from me to impose my opinions on anyone, mourne away but anyone who does that ( and has boxing skills ) doesn't deserve my sympathy.

Merry Christmas.

Personal demons aside, as an artist, James Brown is legendary.

He is the Godfather of Soul. There will be no other.

Gutted I never got to see him perform live. :(
