Having a Frankie Wilde moment here.

Picked up an ear infection in London last Monday. It cleared in a day or two but the fluid left in my ear literaly tortured me on the flight home (gotta love altitude) and now it just won't go away. I've got around 20% hearing in my right ear

Anyone had something similar? Any way to cure it or do I have to sit back and wait forever?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.... but.....

Phil has been suffering for 4 years now after an ear infection picked up in Ibiza from swimming - he has tried numerous over the counter remedies that work for a time - he's currently using Audioclean (Audioclear?) from our local Pharmacy at the moment - seems to be working but he will be in pain again once he gets his dancing pants on again for a clubbing session.. or has to fly somewhere .... :?:?

hmm... that sounds unpleasant.

Wasn't a problem in clubs at the weekend. Glad I'm not flying this week though!

I've had ear infections before but never had liquid in the ear stick around so long afterwards. :?

Its horrid isnt it? I had it just before christmas from having a head cold - I felt like I was underwater for a fortnight - everything was muffled and I could feel the water when you moved your head to the side. Had trouble getting out of bed in the morning too (but that's nothing new...:lol:)

Give it a week - then see your GP - you might need further treatment.

i had a case of losing my balance in one ear last year. everytime i turned head left, i'd fall over.

cant remember what it was called tho.
