hello all :)

I land on the island in just over 2 weeks, come onnnnn!

and having not been b4 was wondering how much im gonna need for 2 wks:?:

bearing in mind i want 2 do as much as i can without having 2 worry about £££

how much would u say i'd need, considering i wanna see all the big clubs at least once & live it up every day

any advice would be 8)

£2k would see you right but you could get away with less than that.

Wouldn't recommend taking all that in cash though. Try and leave some on plastic.

I was expectin' about that, dont think im gonna manage save 2G, more like £1500, reckon i could manage on that?

defo won't be taking it all in cash!

more than enough mate, even in peak season.

Theres plenty of fantastic and cheap places to eat out in in Ibiza. Try not to do all your drinking in all 7 clubs though or you'll run out of money very quickly! Best to set a daily budget (£100 a day is more than enough) and the money you save on the quieter days, pump back into the big clubbing nights 8)

How much for a week in september?

Hi, me and 6 of my mates are going to book up for a week in september 16th-23rd.
We are going to be staying at Hotel gran sol if poss, flying from Newcastle.
We will be staying half board so all money we will be taking will be purely for the nights out.
If I took £400 for a cheap nights out, could I manage? :?:
plz get back, cheers!

Cheers mate,

thats what we were thinking of doing, going all the big clubs but obviously not every night .... where's the best place 2 spend ya time when ur not going a big club? heard good & bad about the west end .... pretty clueless really just gonna c how it goes when we get there!

Yeah, you can manage with £400 in a week. Like people say, you have to be careful to not drink too much in clubs though, thats where most of the money goes.

On my first visit I did £250 for 7 nights and did one of the 7 ' superclubs ' each night. 3 meals included in that too. Anything is possible.

spotlight is a fantastic resource for getting tips of where to go and what to do etc. i couldn't be without it now (and id propbably seek out similar sites for wherever I am going because of this one)

but the one thing I've learnt is that no matter how well you plan things in your head, it usually goes out the window.

some personal recomendations off the top of my head for saving money are...

-if you have a fridge, buy food in a Spar and make your own lunch ie. baguettes, cheese, ham etc.
-drink lots in your hotel (but dont spend all your time there!)
-buy Spanish booze
-shop out of the centre of San An for bigger savings (pricier in the town)
-sunset strip is actually free, you dont need to buy a pint to enjoy a sunset (and its not unknown to sneak a bottle of san mig or two round the back and have them at the front, just dont wander into the bar with it as they are trained like hawks to spot what beers they serve and what beers they dont)
-seek out the Casa Maria Apartments for GREAT PIZZA (margarita for 4euros). Best I've tasted in San An.
-you can pick up discount tickets for the big clubs when there is big competition, ie. in 2005 you could get into Space for 15 euros on Thursdays when Steve Lawler and Sasha had Viva!/Fundacion there (better guests than the big Thursday nights of Yo****oshi at Pacha and Cream at Amnesia) just an example. I also got tickets for Meganite for 15euros at the height of August in 05.
-Get the bus instead of taxi's, although you can get your can fare refunded by certain clubs if enough of you go, i think Space do this if 4 of you rock up with a taxi receipt (can anyone confirm :?:)

Im sure others could add to this list :)

Was there in June, el divino did this. We paid €20 for the cab and they took €16 off our total to get in. €1 each for a cab, nice.

i spent about 1k in 2 weeks. although i could have done with a little more, but if you have a few beverages whilst your getting ready it saves you loads.
