The respected man like mountain of sound, affectionately known as 'Coxy', has been around the electronic block that's for sure. His mammoth career has covered every style possible from acid house and electro to house, techno and beyond. 2004 has already seen Cox crossing continents with gigs including Rock in Rio festival in Lisbon and dates in New York, Romania, Moscow and of course Ibiza.
Now we have news of his latest movements, including the first track to be taken from Carl's eagerly awaited third artist album titled 'The Second Sign'. With five mixes no less, Carl Cox and 23rd Century Records have joined forces in releasing 'Give Me Your Love' as a single on 4th October. Carl says, "All the stuff I have done has been a build-up to where I am now. It's taken years of hard, solid graft. I've kept the momentum, the stamina; now I want to use that expertise."

A busy man indeed, Carl continues to utilise this expertise, and as such he's currently in the middle of his third season hosting Tuesday night parties at Space, Ibiza. "This year has been incredible," he remarks with trademark enthusiasm. "You still have all these people moaning that Ibiza is losing it, but we couldn't be getting any more people through the door!

We're going to be launching the single at Space on 14th September," he adds with a smile. "Plus I've just finished the album, which will be out early next year. It's got everything from drum & bass to punk, rock to house and I've worked with the likes of Roni Size, Josh Wink, Saffron from Republica and Onallee of Reprazents.

Carl continues, "With the new track I want people to think 'wow', I didn't realise he made music like that. I played it to Pete Tong and he compared it to Inner City's 'Good Life' and Farley and Heller's 'Big Love', I was bowled over by the compliment. Everyone always seems to think I just play techno, but just because I love techno doesn't mean I can't appreciate other styles." Other styles are no problem to Carl after all who has also moved into soundtrack music, creating the theme to cult action cartoon series Dragonball Z. Furthermore he reveals a little on his future saying, "Oh, and I've got a DVD coming out in November, so I'm definitely going to be kept busy for a while."

Carl Cox's single 'Give Me Your Love' is released through 23rd Century Records on the 4th October. His album, 'The Second Sign' is to follow in early 2005, but also look out on the 14th September for Intec and 23rd Century's night at Space, Ibiza.
