ISPs

Boring post alert.
Does anyone have Homechoice as their landline/tv/broadband internet provider? If so, is it any good?
I think it's the cheapest all round deal for my area.

The alternative is to get a seperate ISP and go for Sky Plus (Sky Plus is great but the overall bill will be £20 per month more expensive - eeek.)

Sooo, also, can anyone reccomend a good and cheap ISP please?

I think I need about 8mb. ;) :D

Do you mean Internet??? we have one tell for £14 a month and its super dooper quick

If this isnt what you mean then im sorry for posting a silly answer

That's exactly what I meant. ;)

Nice to know I'm sounding grown-up enough to confuse people!

trying to remember my adverts. talk talk broadband is £14.99 / month, tiscali something like £15.99. ntl provide phone, cable and broadband for £30 a month but they are scumbags:evil:

 i think we have ntl at our old house and they were a pain to get them to sort things out, wrongly incorrect invoices etc. They dont know what they're doing :?

we've got NTL, and whilst they were an absolute nightmare to begin with, now that everything is working it's absolutely fine.

We pay £30 a month for TV, 1meg broadband and a telephone line.

My mate had homechoice and really hated it, said it was really limited. I'd go Sky Plus definitely, and with BT upgrading lines to 8mb in April you should be able to get a good and fast deal fror separate ISP :)

Thanks everyone!

OK - Now I'm confused...will someone tell me how many megs I need?

I've seen deals offering 1, 2 & 8 megs... :? All means nothing to me - I do like to download music, films and do the odd bit of streaming though. How do I select what I need without being greedy?

I've had NTL before - w*nkers but when the service worked it was good - but it's not available at my address. :x

The independent ISP and Sky + option works out at about £20 extra a month...eeek. That's quite a lot when you're living alone with a hectic lifestyle and hefty mortgage.

Decisions, decisions.

remember Sky bought easynet, so it's likely they'll do a bundled broadband/sky thingy in the near future.

Just to confuse you further

Oooh - how likely and when do we think or is that an impossible question?

(Phrrrrrrrrrrrt - because we're being far too sensible and it's beginning to frighten me. 8O )
