i hardly think that with the choices we have these days that a few minutes of pleasure is worth years of hassle. i'd rather have no holidays than have kids.

And surely if they become pregnant you have take some responsibility?

So I just found out, at my work, if you have children, you get an EXTRA 10 days of holiday per year!!!!

(Of course they don't call it holiday...... its 'children' time')

If I was a parent, then I'd think that was wonderful.

So because I'm single and child-less, that means essentially I have 2 weeks less a year than someone who has kids..

I do hope I have a family one day, so maybe my ideas will change, but right now I'm just being bitter because I want more holiday!

So, should I go get myself pregnant just to have a little more time off??

At our place they call it days off for dependents. The girls can call in sick if one of their children are ill but they don't get paid for it. They also have a policy whereby you can't have any more than 5 uncertified days off sick within a rolling year - if you do you don't get paid so they tend not to take the days off sick either.

Yes they get paid for it! it does apply to fathers as well! And they get paid sick time too!
