there's absolutely no way it's old skool.

Thank you!! I was unsulted when he said this to me!!

Is oldskool any music from that time period or is it a genre? I think of oldskool as Chavvie qfx sounding tracks

old school for me is anything from the mid-90:s and back.

so......house music from back then is "oldskool" ? :?

I've always thought old skool was anything from early piano house, through to full on Altern8 style hardcore.

But not Underworld !!!

It's breakitdown, with James Lavelle. Last night of the festival, 10pm-5am, i'm doing the back room all night from 12-4am.

I'd say its an anthem but not old skool
old skool stuff is like b4 1992/3
jj tribute, k klass, love decade e.t.c that kind of piano stuff maybe a few older acid tracks.
How did you manage to get into the argument about it anyway

old skool

Yes dfunky you are correct! Old skool is not a genre, it is a term used to describe mid 90's or before music that had that "feel good" quality, yeah w/ the piano riffs and such.....they don't make music like that anymore imo. That's not a bad thing! ;) Just different!

I wouldn't say its old skool either, but it could be one day?

Not in the true sense of the word. Old skool refers to all the old late 80s/early 90s acid house style tracks.

Whilst Born Slippy is a classic, it's not of this genre.
