IS BORA BORA THE BEST BEACH IN IBIZA?

Bora Bora isn't a beach, it's a beach bar on Playa d'en Bossa.

There are tons of secret beaches for you to discover on Ibiza

And plenty of non-secret stunning ones too ;)

no its not. its the best for dancing with the fashionista, which deteriorate into a sweating mass of gibbering idiots.

Like Stuie said Bora Bora isn't a beach.

Playa d'En Bossa beach (where the bar is at) is quite average compared to the many nicer beaches around the islands.

Fortmentera offers the best quality beaches but requires a 30 minute boat journey from Ibiza town.

I, for one, think Playa d'en Bossa is one of the best beaches on the island. It's long, sandy (no rocks), no plant life in between your toes in the water, relatively clean, and the water's not shallow like a kiddy pool but not too deep.

All the other quieter beaches I've been to fail in one of those categories, even the ones I really like (rocky, too much seaweed, too shallow, dirty)

PdB's only downside is that it gets a bit crowded.

Bora Bora is great because they blast some great tunes and have bar and food service on the beach. Late afternoon, you can amble up to the bar and dance. Beach chairs and umbrellas cost 6-7 eur/day to rent, each.

Cala Jondal is another nice beach (aside from the pebbles along the coastline). Great restaurant there with beach bev/food service, playing some good chill-out music. You'll need reservations though.

Without straying off the subject too much, you'd love Paradise beach in Mykonos ;)

Immaculate sand, HUGE bar, excellent self serve cafe's etc.

Not quite the vibe of Bora Bora but i went early season.

Mykonos is one of those "gotta get there someday" places ever since me and some mates lived in the first-floor apartment of a 3-story house in Somerville, Massachusettes with a very entertaining Greek family upstairs. The oldest son, a buddy of mine, would tell stories of wild times on Mykonos.

But I digress... anyway, I do like sandy beaches
