just a bit of advice from any1 who's been to ibiza in august. i am flying out on the 10th for the start of the radio1 wknd for 2 weeks. i've heard that the clubs are far too over packed and u can hardly stand on ur own 2 feet. i hope thats not the case at all the parties as i want some space to dance. also this amnesia cream radio 1 party, do u need to get there early if u want to get a spot on the dancefloor?

It is quite busy but I have only ever been in august so havent really got anythin to compare it to! the cream yes you do need to get there early coz it will be absolutly rammed!! Good night though!!

I've visited the island a couple of times in august and YES, it is busy. Last year was crazy. But I must say that I had a harder time handling traffic than the business in the clubs. Remember that the terrace @ DC10 was overpacked during the afternoon but on the other hand, that adds something special too. Subliminal @ Pacha was totally crammed but one of the best parties ever for me. If you http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=prepare+&spell=1prepare yourself for some serious full dancefloors it shouldn't be a problem.

BTW, the traffic problems were also due to the construction of the new motorway so that should be (partially) solved this year. Finding a parkingspot (which had nothing to do with the Autovista obviously) last august in Ibiza Town somewhere during the evening was a disaster!!

It was far too busy last August when I went... specially Subliminal Sessions. Ended up sitting on a ledge by the toilets for a few hours because it was impossible to do anything else, then just left!! Waste of a night... still enjoyed the music but no space to dance / go crazy.

Was that august the 23rd?? I think that what you're saying is very, very personal. The terrace at DC10 was so ****in' crowded that I simply couldn't properly dance. Just move up and down. Left and right was not an option
But I just thought, what the hell, and had a great party with my limited moving-options. Some friends of mine didn't They were constantly complaining about people standing on their feet but IMO that's a problem you create when you could just as easy forget en just party (which was what I did). Same goes for Subliminal. It was too busy, but the bars in there are so efficient that I never had too wait for a drink (which is very important, nothing more frustrating then to wait when you want to dance) and there was room too actually dance. Just let your irritation and frustration loose and make the most out of it!!!

i'm going for the first time in peak season this year..

Will let you know when I get back ( even though we are there at roughly the same time!)

It depends (of course). If you're lucky you can just park 2 min. walk away from the beach. On the other hand, I spend almost an hour last year driving in circles through Figueretas trying to find a spot
