Is 4 weeks vacation in Ibiza too long?

Hi all. I am returning to Ibiza this summer (just me) for another great vacation but I can't decide how long I should stay this time. I really want to explore the whole island and check out Formentera. I stayed for a week last August but it went by so fast. Is 3-4 weeks too long? Is there enough to do for a month's stay? I plan to spend most of my time in the day, hiking, swimming, chilling on the beach, and exploring this beautiful island. Any tips?

A big problem could be my budget. Would there be facilities to wash and iron clothes? I think if I stay longer than 2 weeks my budget might be stretched for the rest of my trip. Which one of these would you recommend?

- A short stay with a big budget. (1 week)
- A moderate stay with a comfortable budget. (2 weeks)
- A long stay with a stretched budget. (3-4 weeks)

Depends if you can resist the expensive clubs and taxis everywhere. Why not plan a few days in various parts of the island/towns ahead and get buses to destination. Outside of Ibiza, San An and PDB I normally pay 2-4e for a beer not 5-8 food is cheaper the rooms are cheaper etc. Then you'll have time to get a feel for different places. Could also try camping for a week to make it cheap :D

Great ideas, thanks. I spent most of my time in San Antonio last year. I was surprised and delighted that everyone was English! They even had Union flags in the pubs. Was Ibiza once a British colony? LOL.

I'm going for the entire month of August!.. Felt like 2 weeks was fine, I just really wanted to do some exploring.

Me too! Can't wait to find the hidden coves and beaches.

I couldn't do a month in August. I think it would put me off Ibiza for a long time.

A month mid-September to mid-October sounds like bliss on the other hand.

Ibiza is definitely doable on a budget. Depends how smashed you get and how often I guess. Thats the real money drain in Ibiza. In a week the temptation is to just go nuts every night but if you've a long time there you don't need to be out all the time and you're more likely to get wind of more off the radar stuff going on.

I think even a week in late-July/ August would be too much for me now. Just too many people. But then some folk like that.
