iPod Mini

I've just sold my iPod mini on ebay and cant seem to find the original software! I've got this awful feeling that I need to send the original software as it has some kind of 'software key' similar to windows? Is this true?

I think i remember I had to type in the serial number on the back of the i-pod when I first loaded up i-tunes.

i think they have to reformat it when they get it but thats prob about it
