My iPod is skipping all the songs without playing them
Two week ago, I lost all the music that was stored in my iTunes, but my library was okay on my iPod Mini.
So I copied all the music from the iPod to my iTunes doing like this:
- set the Windows Explorer to show hidden files (enable me to see the music files on my iPod);
- the files appear in a odd form (saved in files with names like F00, F01, F02, ...);
- I added the files from the iPod to iTunes using the "Add File to Library" command on the File Menu.
I have all my music back in iTunes, but ever since, I can't listen to any music in my iPod anymore. Whenever I press play, iPod Mini just skips all the music without playing them. I tried reseting, but it didn't work.
A friend of mine told me that it might be a virus (!) and that I should take it to an Apple store to have it replaced. Is that true? Is there any other way I could fix it?
