Ipod? Ipod Nano?

I am looking to get an Ipod as I have had enough of my MP3, well its ok but the main reason I want an Ipod is to take it on holiday so we can listen to some music in the room. I am also thinking it will hold more then my MP3 and is generally easier to use in many ways.

I am debating between the nano and the regular Ipod - reason being I am more in the price range of the nano but I do remember some work colleagues about a year ago saying they broke easily.

Not sure what to do................any views?
 
I've got an ipod nano - the original white one before they started doing the fancy colours!! It holds about 200 songs and does me fine - its scratched up to the hilt but is still working unlike my orginal ipod which was poo :D
 
i've had a nano for two years. (that is not reference to anything other than my MP3 player).

I've never had a problem and it's been all over the place with me and i haven't particularly been careful with it.
 
I have had mine for over 2 years now as well. No complaints. Mine looks really tatty though :twisted: So buy a protective cover and new hearphones, as apple's headphones are poo. Sennheiser are good :lol:

My £3 ones from superdrug work better than the apple ones did! :evil:
 
I might go for the nano then I dont want to spend loads on one without sounding a tightwad as I dont get the train to work or anything I dont really use one that much.

I have the IPOD video love it you can download shows or movies for those times at work when you can get on spotlight or waiting at the airport for the new anti-terror s**t.
 
The whole point of apple headphones is that you're supposed to replace them really.

My 2nd ipod is doing well - first one broke after about 2 and a half years or so?
 
what do you think looks better, in ear headphones or the other???
Do you look like a wannabe DJ tit wearing the latter??

I do DJ but I use smaller clip on headphones with my IPOD not the big ones. I like good quality sound that are closed so they don't bother people near me.
 
ipods as much as i love mine, is a temperamental bastard.

already replaced the battery (easy DIY job even for me).

would love to get a diff MP3 player, but would mean i will lose the Denison ICElink from the MINI.

I'm looking to get one meself. Is the screen big enough to watch a film on comfortably?

The small Sony one's are the best in my opinion, though for non-geeks, I'd say an ipod would be better, as sony's software is a bit temperamental.

Though I would never get an ipod for regular use as it doesn't have a radio lika a sony does.

I have a Sony MP3 one of those tiny thin ones you get in multi colours, it is ok but the battery doesnt seem to last long and I have no charger or speaks for it hence why I was just gonna go the whole hog and get an Ipod.

I have the 80 G it not as good as a laptop(screen about half the size of a pack of smokes small) but you can get about 2 movies or watch a bunch of shows with it.

you can get the radio tuner for ipods you pay more but it's only if you want the radio.
