I own an apartment in Cala Vadella which means i require internet access at my home so as i can run my business from Ibiza.

Internet Cafes just don't cut it!

may help u through ur life in ibiza,..lol

as for the internet i woudnt know

I've been learning Spanish for almost 6 months now and know the basics but still feel more comfortable if they speak some english. That way i might actually get what i want and not what i asked for!

coooool,....how u getting on with it,...i find the basics easy but when the locals attempt to speak bk,...there not so slow

You can go into any of Telefonica's shops and get ADSL from them. I've been in a couple of times and there's always been an assistant who speaks some English.

If you've already got a phone line then you can dial 1004 which puts you through to an English speaking operator. Eventually. What you get is a recorded answer in Spanish then at some point there'll be a pause. At that point you have to say: "Ingles" (Ing-lays). If you've got it right the hold music will probably start or you'll hear it ringing and get straight through to an English-speaking operator. If you've got it wrong you hear a long tone. Time to start again.

It sounds complicated but it actually works quite well. And all the operators I've dealt with have been very polite.

As for the ADSL... Well I'm waiting for my package to arrive this week. I've opted to set it up myself, but that still means an engineer has to deliver the box.

I'll let you know what happens.

JT,
If you can go to the shop and deal with any assistan in person that would be much better.
Telefonia help line will only put on your nerves
