hi all - first post! making my way to the magical island in september for the first time. coming from the states. question - is it easy to find stores that sell international SIM cards i could use during my trip? i researched the airport and it only has a few stores.

i'm thinking perhaps looking for one in madrid airport (have a quick layover there) that works in spanish territories to be able to use in ibiza.

any help is appreciated - thanks!

don't worry about an international sim they're usually a rip off. Get a PAYG sim from any spanish carrier (i use Telefonica) when u land. U will need an unlocked phone though. A Spanish SIM will work at local rates in Spain, the Balearics and the Canary Islands

my phone's unlocked so i'm good with that. could they charge that much? i was just in berlin - i spent 20 euro for a SIM card that came with a gig of data. it lasted me over 2 weeks.

i guess "international" was the wrong word - just need any SIM card that will allow me to get on 4G when needed to look things up, etc.

will look for internet point - where on the island is that? i'm staying at playa. will look it up.

When I got my Telefonica one in the Canary's it was 10eur with 20eur credit. Not sure if the island currently has 4G, maybe a local knows??

There is a thread about this and someone posted a link to an online distributer of sims. Look it up.

*cough*
