Insomnia

Iv'e not slept properly all week, there are some new floor lights that have been put in the courtyard outside our bedroom window and they are really bright. I keep waking up thinking its time to get out of bed and get ready for work when its only 3am :? have to keep checking my phone to see what time it is :?

Similar to us.

There are 2 huge towers either side of our terraces which are lit up by some super trooper lights from the ground which also make our bedroom quite light. Sometimes i have to go and sleep in the bedroom downstairs which is much darker.

Thought about blinds but we have 5 vertical windows and 2 velux in the bedroom and to cover these would spoil the look.

I never normally have trouble, people on here who know me will know I love my sleep (maybe a bit too much!).

Just want these exams to be over then I can relax a bit

Its so annoying isnt it because theres nothing you can do about it

We have floor length blinds for our windows which are the little pully ones that pull back and they are in cream so not very dark

Then Joey gets up and puts the bedroom light on , why he cannot see the room with the bathroom light on i dont know

We both said were going to have to get some of those little sleep masks

It's a good job you have your sleep deprivation techniques at the ready i.e burning people with your hairdryer 8O

I'm normally the king of sleep. When I was a teenager and my parents made me go to church on Sundays, I perfected the art of sleeping upright in a church pew  Airplanes, cars, trains, and especially at home - sleep like a rock.

That's why I was so frustrated last night (and quite often lately, to be honest). Abnormal.
