Hi, can anyone give me any info on the following.
  1. Anything new to do since 2004
  2. Cala Gracio
  3. Fiesta Hotel Tanit
  4. The caves on the island.
  5. What to do in Portinatx for the day
I last stayed in Ibiza in June 2004 at the Fiesta Club Don Toni at PDB and was gutted to find on my only night at the sunset strip with my kids that Cafe Mambo and Radio 1 were hammering out up-tempo music right through the sunset

I love the island, its the only place that I`ve been to where I can do nothing and not feel bored. My wife and I even honeymooned in San-An of all places a few years back.

I`m considering going to the hippy market, Portinatx, some caves somewhere, possibly Formentera once more. How do you get to that big lighthouse on the cliff edge?

I should be in Ibiza from June19- July3 at the Tanit

Many Thanks in advance

Cala Gracio is walking distance from the centre of San An passing the Sunset Strip bars. You can also get a bus from San An to near the Tanit hotel.

The beach there is fine and has a couple of cafe bars on the sand.

However, just round the corner is one of my fave little beaches on the Island in Cala Gracionetta. Tiny and stunning. Get there early.

At the rear of the beach is a restaurant called Chiringuito (sp ?). Very very nice place.

Walking away from San An from Gracio you can get to Cala Yoga, Cala Salada etc round the coast. Lovely walk.

As for Portinatx - I have only driven through there in a hire car. It looked a very pretty family friendly resort but beyong beaches, bars etc nothing stood out.

Agreed:!: both Cala Gracio and Gracionetta are 2 of my favourite beaches. The water is so clear but beware of the Jelly fish 8O

Chiringuito is lovely especially at night. Try Sa Bresca (sp?) on Cala Gracio during the day for a lunch/snack. They do yummy bocadillos......

Thanks for the replies guys, I have booked for all-inclusive so should be sorted for food locally although i might eat at the curry club again.
Can`t wait to go and do some strenuous relaxing.8)

Five weeks now till I`m there

Five weeks to go, Ive worked hard this year and deserve a break.

dont forget to take the fiesta book with you,the one you thought was just show to get your meals,it gets you discount in a lot of shops.plus you should of had it stamped for points, these points add up to some good things, for me i used some of mine over the years,to get my room longer or drinks, best of all, this year i will have enough for a free weeks stay,if you stiil have your old book take it with you,to get the points added to the new one,

I stayed at the fiesta club don toni in 2004 and we used some sort of card or something to use the fiestaland facilities but can`t remember it being stamped and were un-aware of any value to it.

I believe most fiesta hotels have lots of activities going on like Don Toni had, so we are giving the Tanit a go for the first time.

thanks

you can also swap your night meal in any fiesta hotel just give them 24hrs notice,so if you going out to say pdb ect,you can pick which one you fancy your evening meal, make a day of it.they will give you a room as well to freshen up in,the book is the bible, take it with you allways, and you can also use fiesta land in pdb.free,i know it a way out.but if you spending a day out make full use of the book,
