They did some great tracks, i've got a few more recent reworks of them too which are pretty spangly :D

Soul2soul were damn good though, back to life is an anthem. Ahead of its time! I've got a frankie knuckles mix from 94 and that tune really stands out.

i take it we are talking best soul influenced band....."best Band" is a tad too far imo.

Heavies are my choice...so consistantly good - even after N'dea Davenport left they still bashed out the tunes.

Saw them at the Jazzfm weekender last year and they were outstanding, definately one of the best British bands out there. If you get a chance to see them live, do it, it's a real experience.

By the way i'm 23 and remember them well. ;)

Having that said though. Can't get giving it up and don't you worry 'bout a thing out of my head now.....

Don't you worry 'bout a Thaaaannnggggg annng annng aannnnnnnnngggggg. bah da na na na na naa naaa naaaa.....

Damn you Collins....I got Don't you worry about a Thing on repeat in me head now.....

Brand New Heavies were the ones for me, "People get ready" - top tune.

Incognito were really good tho' - bizarrley Max Beezley was their percussionist.

I liked from that era, galliano, Omar, Snowboy and Digable Planets, Ronny Jordan. I was also driving around Ibiza last week listening to The Young Disciples.

Right I'm off to get my Polo neck and straight legged strides - I'm going back to my soulboy roots 8)
