A very early start – can’t remember when I went to an Ibiza club so early – got in at 10 past 12 and was amongst the first ones on the (main) dancefloor. Armin was already playing some proggy beats and 5mins later, he dropped the first flyaway-melody. But still, downtempo and easy. People arrived (a mixed bunch of young guns and die-hards) and everyone seemed SO ready for a night in a state of trance. Armin picked up “reasons to forgive”, dropped booka shade’s “in white rooms” as well as gregor tresher’s “a thousand nights”. So, until about 1:30 he changed between tekhouse, floaty laidback trancey stuff and proggy tracks. And from then on, it was pure trance bliss for the rest of the night…he played stuff like “light the skies” and “your loving arms”. By 2:30 the mainfloor was nicely busy, but never as packed as with cream. I loved it, brilliant music, great vibe, still room to dance – and the ice-cannon was in use as well! As the night proceeded, armin also dropped some electroey stuff and got a good bit harder at around 4am – but still, it was trancey and very much enjoyable. And everyone loved it when he dropped southern sun in the early morning hours. It all came to an abrupt end at 6:45 – everyone was like “what, already almost 7am? Impossible! C’mon, get back to the decks armin”…
Conclusion – all I can say is that this was definitely one of my best ever trance music nights in Ibiza (and I’ve seen quite a lot). So, if you love trance then you deffo should give armada a try!
