movistar, amena or vodafone spain?

anyone know the cheapest and how they work out the txt/call charges etc?

Been a good 4-5 years since Ive been on Vodafone but think as soon as you land you're on Movistar? Its likely to change when you move around the island.

You'll have to talk to your network provider about charges. Depends on your tariff mate.

I suppose that Vodafone Spain is cheaper than others for VF-UK customers because it is the same operator, but you can visit the Movistar's or Amena's web and compare rates for roaming services.

Vodafone-ES has the same good coverage than Movistar.

Mine usually chooses whichever signal is strongest, but you can go in and manually choose another carrier. I usually did this when I had to make a call or send texts, choosing the cheapest carrier for the action I wanted to complete.
 
I really should choose the cheapest network.

My phone bills are stupidly high when Im over there. I think half of its from people calling me from the uk! unfair the way they charge you for that :(

Ya... I love that. Incoming calls are more expensive than outgoing :roll:

I don't always remember to do it, but I try to. I'm more vigilent when I visit the UK, where the rates are insane.
 
I work for a mobile network and recently did a comparison of pay as you go roaming tariffs.

Whether PAYG or contract, your own network will have its own price plan. Vodafone do an abroad offer (international Call Saver) where you pay an amount upfront and get a cheaper tariff for all calls
