Im torn and I need help - Fundacion@Space vs Cream@Amnesia

Re: Im torn and I need help - Fundacion@Space vs Cream@Amnes

Viva without any shadow a doubt, it is a very good line-up.

Paul Oakenfold is shite and way past it. Tiesto is boring, cheesy and predictable. Shapeshifters: commercial pish. Yousef is probably the best DJ on the line-up.

I'm not too fussed about Sasha although he's playing half decent stuff these days and it'll be interesting to see what he does with Ableton. Steve Lawler, Jacques Lu Cont and Desyn Masiello are must sees though in my opinion. Pete Gooding is good as well. Not heard Audio Fly myself so can't comment on him/her/them.

Read above - I know this!

unfortunately its gonna take a lot to convince my mate, and to be fair, he does like his trancey music. Already gave him one of tiesto's sets from Cream earlier this year and he loved it. Not my thing anymore, but then everyone has their own tastes and opinions. The way I see it, 1. I didnt know about Viva till a couple of weeks ago and had been looking forward to Cream anyway. 2. I wanna try and get a Coco Loco from that Tirri guy/girl whatever 3. Every other night we go to is gonna be the type of music I like as opposed to what my buddy does (he likes but prefers the likes of Cream) so I figure thats the one if he really wants to go. Gotta compromise sometime, I'll have a good night no matter where I go, and its important to me that my friend enjoys his holiday too.

Shapeshifters are pish - not even gonna look for them. yousef will be good. and as for tiesto and oakenfold, i've never seen either but grew up listening to oakenfold on various cd's and essential mixes, so will be good to see.

just gonna watch out for Desyn and Sasha locally.

Sasha and Steve Lawler play The Arches in Glasgow this coming Saturday.

Thanks Stu - thats torturous though considering I've no money for my trip!

I'll need to keep my eyes peeled for future Scottish dates, unless I do end up at Viva! In which case, how the hell am I gonna try a Coco Loco???!?

can some1 please tell me what ableton live is, and why is it better?

Sasha has created his own mixer with a joystick type controller which works the computer. He has ditched vinayls and cds and only uses his computer now. By using the new ableton it means he can for eg. mix 5 tracks at one time and say use the bass from one song and the vocals from another and say another part of another tune and put it together live for one amazing sound.
