Im torn and I need help - Fundacion@Space vs Cream@Amnesia

Despite checkin the party calendars religiously all summer like everyone else, I seem to have missed the alternative to Cream over at Space on August 18th.

For those that don't know, heres the lineups...

Cream
Paul Oakenfold
Tiësto
Shapeshifters
Yousef
Kolor One
Montana
Oatawa

Viva-Fundacion
Sasha
Steve Lawler
Jacques Lucont
Audio Fly
Desyn Masiello
Pete Gooding

I always thought thursdays would be a dead cert with Oakenfold and Tiesto, and I really love the atmosphere in Amnesia, its crazy. The other thing is, my mate is a HUGE Tiesto fan so he is definately up for Cream. I used to be into the kind of music they play, but I'm definately more a down-the-middle house man now, although I know I'd still have an amazing night there.

however, Chris pointed out to me last night that Sasha, JLC, Steve Lawler and Desyn Masielo are playing @ Space the same night (silly bugger for telling me!). Thats three of my favourite DJ's in one night, and although i've never heard a JLC set I've only heard good things and his remixing work is usually top notch.

Theres potentially another 1 in the group, so even if they both decide to go to Amnesia, I stil don't know what I'd rather do. I can buy both tickets online with my Visa pretrip so that won't affect my decision either (for those of you that don't know how skint I am for this trip!)

Is anyone else going to be at Viva-Fundacion that uses the board?

What would you do in my situation?

i'm in the same situation.

love Tiesto, love trance and know that Cream is something special...

BUT

Steve Lawler is Steve Lawler and he always deliveres amazing set. Then I have Felix da Housecat and Damian Lazarus. I'm talking about next thursday, 28th...

So if I want emotions and eufori Tiesto is the one, but if I want dancy, sexy and funky tribal-prog-house then Lawler is allmighty himself...

I choose...

STEVE LAWLER!!

I think.... :D

Thats my thinking too, but Im not gonna let my mate down. If it's just the two of us and he has his heart set on Cream that's what we'll do. The Radio 1 day at Space on Saturday before looks immense too, but I just can't afford that, then Space following day, then Manumission then Cream/Viva, and Pure Pacha on Friday.

me is in the same situation..
but i'm two weeks in ibiza....so i think first week i'll check out VIVA@Space and second week i'll go to Cream@Amnesia... ;)

I have the EXACT same dilema, however my dilema is on the 11th og August where i got:

Cream 10th Anniversary @ Amnesia
Paul van Dyk
Tiësto
Mylo
Jacques Lucont
Annie Mac
Gareth Wyn
NU NRG
Touche

VS.

Viva - Fundacion @ Space
Sasha
Steve Lawler
Josh Wink
Dj Remo
Pete Gooding
Steve Porter

What i must tell u people before letting u know my choice is that it was the HARDEST decision i ever made when having to decide in between 2 parties.

And the verdict is............... CREAM @ AMNESIA!

I was once taught that winning formula shouldn't be replaced. For this and for several other reasons i chose Cream.

Whats most important is that u will have fun wherever u go! :P

Fundacion without a doubt unless amnesia sort their door policy out and stop letting half the west end in!

I'm in the same situation about the 28th. The space night looks better for my tastes, but my two friends are two massive teisto fans (from back in the gatecrasher days0 and really want to see him, so looks like its cream for me! :?

Here's my suggestion and two reasons why:

Pick Fundacion because:
1. Sasha doing his Ableton Live set is one thing you CAN NOT miss, especially with a setting like Space!
2. PAUL OAKENFOLD SUCKS!!!

If it was Tiesto and PVD, then it would be a lot harder, but it's Cokenfold so much easier :)

Cheers,
Terry

sets are unique as the music is mixed on the fly
its a computer program, very cool

get on a p2p and search for sasha essential mix 2004

im shite on ableton though!

with those lineups id probably choose cream too, if only to perv at annie mac 8) na jus kidding, thats a strnger lineup and id go with that, but mylo and pvd will attract knobs there though :?

We're a bit torn too! Same night as fatphilb but different choice of venues....Don't know whether to go to Cream@Amnesia or Yoshitoshi@pacha for DeepDish. Your advice and opinions will be greatly appriciated :)

Deep Dish all the way :D

Even if you like trance, the crowd at Cream is so young and toe-raggy and it's so busy you end up spending half your night in the other room

In this one I vote for Tiesto without doubt...

Deep Dish is good, but not as near as Cream.

Viva on the other hand... ;)
