My wife & i have just spent the early afternoon scanning the net looking at the property market for Ibiza ( just for curiosity ), & judging from what we've seen, one cannot help but think that the value for buying property on the island has gone through the roof??? In the early day's of Ibiza's tourism boom , property & land was available at rock bottom price's, though much restauration needed doing on such properties. Oh how we wish'ed we'd bought a small finca back then ( 1979 ) as it's value today would certain'ly be 10 time's + today. Oh well, it was'nt too be:(

Totally agree with you about the rocketing house prices in Ibiza. I was over there last September and looked at several apartments. Look in San Antonio and a one bedroom in Ed Encanto was 105,000 euro, now they are anywhere from 150,000 upwards!!! Another place they were 125,000 euro, now 169,000!!! I have read on the net that they are expecting prices to fall in Ibiza by approx 20% over the next 3 years, so it might be worth waiting!!

and I can't believe people actually think the prices will fall.

true, the prices won't fall. the rate of price increase might fall and become like it is in the UK now (1-3% depending on who you listen to) but the price of property is not going to get cheaper.
