IBIZA YEAR BOOK

yesterday i catched one of the guys from this project:

McRackin: oi mate - whats this shit all about?
IYB guy: 8O
McRackin: come on - spill the beans!!
IYB guy: :o

after the initial surprise he told me all the details and i think its a cool idea. their website is working now so take a look!! :D

last night they were at itaca, savannah and west end among other places :!:

Ya but if you're walking down the walkway in front of Itica just put your head down and run!!! Those IYB peeps are very aggressive. Just try not to make eye contact. ;)

LOL

I saw them at Space Opening, yeah! very aggressive.

First there is this weird idea of the Guiness Book of Records, which is probably nice if you do something fysical but in this case it is just setting up a telephone-book :( . I asked one of the girls why to pay 5€, she told me that is to prevent people to take more entries than one :? . Then she told me the idea is to raise money for the poor on Ibiza (finally get rid of these burglars? :P ) and they will do the same kind of thing in Cancun and other places.
I am curious how they finance themselfs because this is a large group of promotors and probably have to go to the laundrette every day to clean this nice shiny white leggings

Haha, that's clever  Maybe it is all set up by *peep* or *peep*. Those loose ends of marketing tricks trying to get some free publicity and do something weird. 8O

One of the statements on this website of Ibiza Year Book:
"2500 colored pages of the project participant photos combined with their name, e-mail address, personal statements, phone numbers and origin, all wrapped up in one giant book (60 centimeters high / 45 length) a book that by itself can be considered as a collectors item, a tool that can be used to get to know people and contact the people that stayed in the island during the summer season."

So it is a kind of yellow pages (you have to pay to get in) but the distribution is not clear yet (yellow pages are free for the customers normally).

The way it was explained to me is that for $15, you get a cool numbered wrist band so you can exchange numbers with other cool people. That also gets you a copy of the yearbook whenever it comes out and you can sit and look at all the cool people wearing cool wristbands. Hope this helps ;) . Lates

no. when the book comes out they will let you know so you can buy it if you want. obviously they wont give you that super-book for only 5€ (the price you pay for the wristband)!!

...........had my photo taken.....got my wristband....02756....if you can be arsed .....i'm with the girl in the pink (next/previous).....they were nice peeps...

i met the girls and boys at the opening of Space, i have to say, they were all very friendly, no pressure....
their point (they say) is to take a guiness book of record of pictures of people in ibiza (partying i think)..
so, they were taking pictures of everyone in Space, for free. The number allocated to each and everyone is (i think) to allow access on the website to view the photo, for free.
the book will be on sale later, at a cost, obviously.....

i was just reading the hilarious spank the monkey section on djmag ibiza and seems like that guy is not very impressed with the book either!!

Kinda true what he said though. Plenty of companies would pay though the teeth for that info...
