IBIZA with children

Morning,

we are planning late August to have a 4-5day trip to IBIZA with our children (9 & 7 years)
Can somebody recommand a hotel, appartement, appart-hotel, ... which is not too far from the beach but also with some entertainment around.
Any suggestions?

thx a lot - Tom

Hi we 1st took our kids when they were 7 and 8 (now 9 and 10) and stay by Golden Buddha Ibiza. OMG everywhere we went with them we were treated like VIPs. A lot of cool restraints also have hidden kids menus including Savannah and they are welcome everywhere. We normally get a car and do a different beach with them every day, back to the hotel and get changed then go to Golden Buddha as the kids play safely around the bar/beach area and they have free Wi-Fi too. Then we take a walk around sunset strip (sometimes stop there with the kids too) and take turns in choosing a restaurant. Sometimes we walk around to the bay, past Ocean beach and they get invited in so many hotels/bars with family entertainment.

Then stop off for a late night ice cream (Yes, just before bedtime ;-) ) and back to the hotel ready to do it all again.

I posed the same question as you a couple of years ago as I wanted to relax at night and thought a hotel would put a cabaret show on the kids could watch as our kids aren't the sort to sit quietly. All the places I could find looked awful or cost a fortune so we decided to take them on a holiday that we normaly do. Instantly the kids fell into the lifestyle and loved it.

We have been back with them several times and the love it more each time.

We have taken them out in Ibiza town at night and to Benirras to see the drummers. We even went to Bora Bora (after the water park) for a drink with them and were amazed by how many other children we saw there.

The 1 tip I would give is choose your hotel carefully as you don't want one full of people wanting to have a carry on party at 6am in their room but surprisingly there are lots of nice places around that discourage this sort of behaviour.

We have stayed in:

Apartamentos Poniente Playa

Hotel Abrat

and

Apartamentos El Moro (my favourite)

Hope that helps ;-)

Hotel club bahamas in playa den bossa right on the beach.lots of entertainment day and night,4 mins to water park.just up the road from airport.so you will get a little noise from planes landing depends on wind.but you get used to it.and you could play a game on which company plane is coming over you.nice flat resort.longest beach on island.lots of bars etc.bus 14 to ibiza town.taxi back say.or get a ferry boat to ibiza town from pdb.kids club in hotel.games all day acts on at night.etc

In 2015 we stayed at the Club San Miguel north of the Island. We had our 6 month old at the time and he loved it. Yeah he's only 6 months but he loved the pool and beach and everyone loved him. The hotel is all inclusive and is very nice. A little dated so not to everyone's taste, clean though and food was very nice. The beach is literally 1 minute walk away and amazing. Its in a cove and the water is shallow but deep enough to swim in, in July it was very warm. There are buses out side the complex that go to San An and Ibiza on a regular basis, not sure if you have to change to go to San An though.

We did San An one evening and with little one in his push chair we found no problems. Restaurants where accommodating for him and actually had a little fun with him etc. I know your children are older but there is always something to do no matter where you stay.

The hotel we stayed at was full of families and children. All having fun and the entertainment at night was good too. Kiddies fun from 7-9pm then more an adult theme them on for an hour or so. The shops around Port San Miguel are child friendly too. Staff very polite. Hope this helps some what :)

I saw many couples with children in Santa Eularia and Es Canar last August. Place was very relaxed, shops were open late, and nightlife was pleasant and peaceful. Also plenty of families at the Hippy Market. Ideal place for gifts and souviners.

cala longa el pinar apartments..nice beach small enough so you can see you kids.good bars.good food served at this apartments.buses to ibiza or santa eulalia..you could get small ferry boats as well.
