Ibiza Wedding Week Review
Ok have finally got round to finishing my review of my wedding week (well the first part of the week anyway!), its quite long so I hope you manage to read it all! I will do it in 2 parts!
Well the day had finally arrived, all that preparation, excitement, nerves, apprehension and the counting of the hours and we were on our way to the airport!
When we arrived we had an absolute nightmare! We got to the airport 2 1/2hrs before we were meant to fly, we did this cos I thought we might have trouble with getting my dress on the plane, I was right! We joined the huge queue for the Thomson desk a bit gutted as we thought we had got there in plenty of time. We were in the queue for about 10 minutes when a Thomson guy comes up and says would you like to do an express checkout seeing as you’re carrying a wedding dress? So we were like, yeah cool, we waited in the express check out queue for about 10 minutes (express checkout my arse lol) anyway when we were finally seen it wouldn’t work as it didn’t recognise our passports, so that was a complete waste of time! We then had to rejoin our original queue which had now obviously doubled in size – not happy!! :x Thomson then decided to open another desk and we were told to join the queue for that desk! We were thinking great this is much better but oh no the woman on this desk had only just started working for Thomson so knew jack sh*t, first she couldn’t work out the computer and then after about 5mins said 'You’re not booked on this flight' We were gob smacked especially as we had email confirmation with us!
She called her supervisor to try and sort it out, but no we weren’t on the flight and the flight was full!!! After a fair bit of palaver they booked us on but we weren’t sitting together! I asked if they could move someone as we were getting married, but no they couldn’t! 
Second thing to be pissed off about! Then she said that I had to put my wedding dress under the plane, I said there is no way this dress is going anywhere but on the plane with me! She eventually agreed but we had to sacrifice one piece hand luggage! Now as you can imagine we spent quite a while sorting out what was going in our hand luggage so this was very inconvenient. Pauly had to empty all his stuff that he needed out of his bag and into my bag and put his practically empty bag under the plane! By this point I was fighting back the tears and trying to stay as calm as possible. The Thomson girl then said to us ‘your marriage is going to be doomed!’ We were so shocked at what she said we couldn’t say anything! We eventually got on the plane and it was full of screaming kids!!!!! Theres something to be said about late night flights – no annoying kids!! Pauly was about 5 rows in front of me on the other side of the plane. 
I ended up sitting on the floor for as much of the flight as I could just to be near him. The air hostesses started getting stroppy with me saying I had to go back to my seat, I slightly lost my rag and had a bit of a go, still fighting back the tears! Pauly is not a very good flyer so him sat on his own wasn’t the best plus having a kid kick the back of his chair for most of the flight! Trying to not get upset I sat away from Pauly for the rest of the flight and started to read to take my mind of it. The plane landed really badly and it came down with such a thump all the kids started screaming again!!! 
I then had to wait for everyone to get off the plane before I could get my dress back and the unfunny air hostess was saying that they all had tried it on and spilt red wine on it, I was not in the mood for crap humour!! The only thing that went right with the flight was that we were alive and our bags were the first off the plane!
We got our hire car and in a mad rush we set off to La Torre to try and catch the last bit of sunset and to meet Paulys parents for a meal, we made it with 20mins to go! I cried with relief that we were finally there! We sat down and left our bags inside till we could get the lovely suite that I had got especially as a pressie for Pauly for out last night on our own! We had a few drinks with Paulys mum and step dad when this woman came over and said 'there is a problem with the suite' I was like ‘I don’t believe this!!!’ The story they came up with was that the people who were in the suite the night before had their flight cancelled so they came back to the suite and were refusing to leave!!! I couldn’t believe it; I said ‘I'll make them leave!’ They wouldn’t let me anywhere near them and said ‘but they are Spanish!’ I was like ‘I don’t care if they’re the royal family get them out of the suite that we have paid for!’ She went missing for quite some time (obviously avoiding us) and by this point I was so angry and upset that I just started crying hysterically! After an hr or so (we decided to eat before they stopped serving) she came back and said they won’t leave so we can offer you another room, we went to see it and jeez it was taking the piss! She opened the door and opened her arms like ‘tada’ and I just went ‘NO! I WANT THE SUITE WHICH I HAVE PAID FOR!’ She went off again and that was it we didn’t see her until 11.30pm (bare in mind we are still in our travelling clothes at this point) we had both got rather pissed by this stage cos we just couldn’t believe the disastrous day we were having! In the end we had to have the **** room cos there wasn’t anything else. I was as pissed as a fart by this point and going slightly delirious and I just wanted to go home they said they had put some free champagne in our room as way of an apology (it was cava!
) What I couldn’t believe was that they didn’t just kick these people out of the suite, but later thinking about it, we reckon they had double booked it. We had lost the receipt obviously at the airport when we were transferring all the stuff out of Paulys bag into mine, so couldn’t prove we had booked and they conveniently lost theres!!! They wouldn’t give us our money back at all! There were no managers there and the woman that said she would sort it for us the next day didn’t come back the next morning!!! Eventually Pauly managed to get 68 euros back (I had paid 155) and we had a few free drinks but that was it, our first night ruined im still quite upset about it, cos we could have stayed anywhere for that much money but we just had some **** room cos of their f*ck up. 
We have the owners email and stuff and I will be complaining big style!
The next day things improved vastly (well they couldn’t have got any worse!!!) It was Saturday morning and we were still at La Torre waiting for my dad and brother to arrive and our mate Shoomie, so we sat in the gorgeous sunshine drinking our free drinks and looking forward to getting out of there and getting the villa. We left after a few hrs and checked my dad and bro into Stella Maris which is this huuuuge complex! We had a bit of a mission sorting out their rooms as my dad has a bad leg and they put them right up the top of this complex which involved walking up loads of steep hills, we thought we had got there but there was another hill to go so we had to go back down and try and swap rooms for them, we eventually managed to get them rooms near the bottom! We then found out about 2 of our mates and their disaster with Thomson! my bridesmaid Minxy and our mate Ed were due to get a Thomson flight on Saturday morning but they closed the check in early and wouldn’t let them on the plane! They didn’t even offer them alternative flights and they had to go to an internet cafe to book with someone else – easy jet, so now they weren’t arriving until 12am, a whole day wasted!
Then at last it was 2pm so we could get the keys for the villa we got there and it looked amazing, all done up nice, freshly painted and new rugs put down. We were the first clients in the villa which was great.
We got checked in and all the men went off to the supermarket for supplies while I waited for vickki to arrive. being the nice almost wife that I was, I unpacked all mine and Paulys clothes and put them away
vVckki was getting late so I called her and she had emailed me telling me she wasn’t coming till Sunday lol but I hadn’t seen the email! So I thought great and got in my bikini and lounged on the sun beds until the guys came back with the booze and food!
They came back a few hrs later and as you can imagine when you send just guys shopping, there was loads of booze but very little food!
We got straight into eating and drinking, loads of cava and rose and carried on for the rest of the evening and got ready to go to Pacha.
Scott from Bellisima came over to give me a makeup trial for the wedding and I can definitely recommend him, he was really good. I needed to get hold of Pacha to change our meal times cos of our mates not getting their flight but I couldn’t get hold of Pacha, so ended up ringing Danny Whittle lol and he helped us sort it! Minxy, Ed, Lozzie and Danny all turned up about 11.30pm, we had a mission getting a taxi (need to learn proper Spanish lol) so went up to the bar up the road and had a drink there and they sorted taxis for us.
We got to Pacha and then they wouldn’t let Danny in cos he was wearing shorts! I hadn’t noticed what he was wearing otherwise I could have told him! Danny and some of the guys had to go on a mission to buy him some trousers and they let the rest of us in the restaurant! They were gone for quite some time, obviously all the shops in Ibiza town had closed! He ended up coming back to Pacha and buying some long shorts from them!
We all ordered and had lovely food and were steadily getting more and more pissed! I cant remember much after eating as I was leathered but I blagged some free shots for me and pauly (playing the wedding card sometimes works!) and we got in the club. Now I normally love Pacha but on this night the music was pretty ****, commercial and quite boring so we didn’t stay that long, about a 1 1/2hrs. I was surprised at how packed it was and apparently I fell down the steps on the way out and into a few people!!! 
We got back to the villa and carried on drinking till god knows what time and eventually went to bed.....I woke up in the middle of the night to find my future husband throwing up in the sink!
On Sunday morning pauly had to get up to pick some more mates up from the airport, I just stayed in bed for a bit longer! I got up not long after and just lounged around by the pool with everyone, it was really hot! Later on paulys mum and all the oldies came over to have a look at the villa and the girlies were having manicures and pedicures and massages. Scott and Nicole came over and started giving us all treatments. I had a pedicure and some free reflexology which I have never had before. I had been drinking all day and hadn’t eaten anything and the reflexology sent me a bit funny. I felt like I was off my head but not in a good way. I felt like I was on another planet!!! Anyway I got made some food and had my manicure and was feeling completely out of it for about 2hrs! After the beauty people left I had what I can only call a come down and was absolutely wiped out, I then got really emotional and panicky! It completely wiped me out for the rest of the night and I didn’t want to drink or anything, I went to bed by 1.30am! we were going to have our last night separate but cos I was feeling a little freaked out and pauly was pissed as a fart we decided to sleep together pauly was proper stressing about us getting wed the next day, he came to bed about 30mins after I did and started proper freaking out, saying things like 'we're not ready, we've forgotten to do loads of things, we cant afford it' he was quite hysterical! He then said he was going to be sick, next thing he throws up in the sink again!! I don’t know what was wrong with the toilet??!! He then started to feel better which I told him he would and then he got all emotional and kept telling me he loved me! Within a few mins he was fast asleep and snoring and I was there all awake and having to listen to him! As you can imagine I didn’t get much sleep!
We woke up late the next morning (our wedding day) and we had a crazy day ahead of us!!!!!
Well what a day it was! After having very little sleep and finally managing to get rid of pauly who was going to his last breakfast of freedom lol I got up feeling much better than I did the night before! I panicked at first cos it sounded like it was raining outside, but it wasn’t it was just really windy! Minxy, Alex, Boba and Lozzie all came in our room and got me out of bed! I was feeling really calm and not like I was getting married at all! Alex made me breakfast and minxy started dying my hair, trying really hard not to get it on my face and neck! That would make some attractive wedding pics, me looking like Id cut my head open!!
George had arrived to do Paulys hair but Pauly was nowhere to be found, also Vickki and the caterers had arrived but couldn’t get the van in the villa cos the blokes had run off with both garage fobs!! I decided not to worry about it and let someone else sort it! 30mins later when Pauly still wasn’t back, George decided to start doing my now very red hair! Scott and Nicole turned up as well as Paulys mum and a few other people, the house was buzzing with everyone doing stuff! I stayed upstairs in the serene of our room lol! Eventually Pauly came back so George finished blow-drying my hair and set to work on Pauly.
Scott did my makeup and once again he was really good. Gypsy was now also there snapping away at me, not the best pics when im sat there in just a t-shirt with my hair up and having my makeup done! im told to pretend she’s not there but when she’s snapping away in your face its quite difficult, she did some really close up ones too and hmmm im not getting any younger so wrinkles I didn’t even know I had were on the pics!
The last time I saw Pauly before we got to the beach was when he stuck his head round the door asking for money for the flowers and he was proper stressing! George finished my hair off and said that she had to tell him to breathe cos he was sat there holding his breath!!! Everyone was saying I was the calmest bride they’d seen for ages and Pauly was the most stressed groom!! I felt completely fine; it was like being a film star having all these people pampering you and pics taken every few mins! Not sure I could handle a camera in my face all the time though!
Now it was time to get in my dress! Im stood there in my really sexy white control pants (Gypsy is still snapping away!) and Minxy is helping me into my dress! It was a bit of a mission cos Minxy couldn’t work out the fastening on my top!!!
After a few mins I was in my dress and realised I had lost some weight since id last been measured cos the top wasn’t as fitted, quite chuft about that! Scott is there fluffing me lol putting shimmering bronzer on any bare bit of flesh and George is fingering my hair! I picked up my bouquet and started my descent down the villa stairs! I felt fantastic and we were only running 25mins late!
Everyone that was left downstairs was shocked at the transformation; I wasn’t sure whether to be complimented or insulted lol! more pics taken then off we went to the car as Shoomie was driving us to the Cala Gracinetta 
(lazy I know but that lane is gravely!) we got out of the car and had more pics and we walked down the stairs to the beach. I was told to wait as they weren’t ready for me! We waited there for a few mins and I could hear paulys mix of our special songs playing in the restaurant. I was then told to walk down the stairs and just as I started getting to the beach Fleetwood Mac Songbird came on, it was perfectly timed and I had my first emotional moment! Thankfully the wind had died down a bit so we weren’t getting blown all over the place!
As I walked onto the little clearing that was a bit raised from the sand everyone in the restaurant clapped and cheered! It was really nice. I walked around and saw everyone waiting but not Pauly! then Pauly walked out from behind this branch and it was a lovely moment, I felt like it was just me and him there then to take us from this moment, my brother shouted 'where’s dad?' he’d only gone and told him to wait the other side of the restaurant so he could walk down with me!! So I had to wait and my brother ran off and got my dad!! Comedy moment!
Eventually we were all there in front of Alok and thankfully in the shade cos it was turning out to be a scorcher! The service was really nice; Alok put some humour into it and Minxy read a poem. When it came to us saying our vows I had a little moment of sh*t im going to cry, but I held it together! Pauly had a bit of a job getting my ring on! The ceremony lasted about 20mins or so and it was really nice
The first thing I said after it was over was ‘I need a drink!’
Next we went to the restaurant and had some cava and shook so many people’s hands and had enough hugs to last me a lifetime lol!
Paulys cd was still playing all our special songs. Lots of pics and filming later, gypsy took us off to have some pics by the beach. I nearly slipped on my dress and pauly had to grab me to stop me falling over! As it happens that is now our favourite pic!
We went back to have some more cava and mingle with everyone then we went up to the villa with Gypsy to have some more pics taken. We were getting slightly sick of pics by this point!!! Gypsy took some really good pics of us then everyone started coming back to the villa. Plenty more pics later then Gypsy left us to it.
We started with bruschettas that were gorgeous but really messy so I only had 1 L a lot more mingling then we were called to sit down. Ed was a bit worse for wear at this point and had stripped to his shorts and was in the pool!!! We had to get him out and dressed to have the food! We had Tapas next and it was beautiful although me and Pauly werent that hungry, I think the nerves of the day had got to our stomachs a bit! The waiters were really good and were constantly topping us up with wine and sangria and I don’t think I lit my own cigarette all day!!! After the tapas we had all the bbq food which again was delicious but I could hardly eat any of it finally we had the gorgeous dessert, I managed to eat some of that!!! I was getting rather pissed by this point and getting a bith lairy lol! Pauly gave me a strawberry that he had shaped into a heart at the end of the meal and it just summed up the day
Wez, Paulys best man made a lovely informal speech and Pauly also said a few words and then he surprised me with a poem he had written about me! It was amazing! Shoomie then got to the decks and played an ecletic mix of all sorts of tunes, but started with the cricket theme tune into salt and pepa push it!! Believe me it works!! We had our first dance and it went rather silly lol and after that I do struggle to remember much of what happened for the rest of the evening but do remember stripping out of my wedding dress and getting in the pool! Pauly then jumped in fully clothed after me!! I don’t remember getting to bed at all so have no idea if I was carried over the threshold or crawled up the stairs!!
All in all a great day and I wish I could do it all again!

Within a few mins he was fast asleep and snoring and I was there all awake and having to listen to him! As you can imagine I didn’t get much sleep! We woke up late the next morning (our wedding day) and we had a crazy day ahead of us!!!!!
Well what a day it was! After having very little sleep and finally managing to get rid of pauly who was going to his last breakfast of freedom lol I got up feeling much better than I did the night before! I panicked at first cos it sounded like it was raining outside, but it wasn’t it was just really windy! Minxy, Alex, Boba and Lozzie all came in our room and got me out of bed! I was feeling really calm and not like I was getting married at all! Alex made me breakfast and minxy started dying my hair, trying really hard not to get it on my face and neck! That would make some attractive wedding pics, me looking like Id cut my head open!!
George had arrived to do Paulys hair but Pauly was nowhere to be found, also Vickki and the caterers had arrived but couldn’t get the van in the villa cos the blokes had run off with both garage fobs!! I decided not to worry about it and let someone else sort it!
30mins later when Pauly still wasn’t back, George decided to start doing my now very red hair! Scott and Nicole turned up as well as Paulys mum and a few other people, the house was buzzing with everyone doing stuff! I stayed upstairs in the serene of our room lol! Eventually Pauly came back so George finished blow-drying my hair and set to work on Pauly. Scott did my makeup and once again he was really good. Gypsy was now also there snapping away at me, not the best pics when im sat there in just a t-shirt with my hair up and having my makeup done! im told to pretend she’s not there but when she’s snapping away in your face its quite difficult, she did some really close up ones too and hmmm im not getting any younger so wrinkles I didn’t even know I had were on the pics!
The last time I saw Pauly before we got to the beach was when he stuck his head round the door asking for money for the flowers and he was proper stressing! George finished my hair off and said that she had to tell him to breathe cos he was sat there holding his breath!!! Everyone was saying I was the calmest bride they’d seen for ages and Pauly was the most stressed groom!! I felt completely fine; it was like being a film star having all these people pampering you and pics taken every few mins! Not sure I could handle a camera in my face all the time though!
Now it was time to get in my dress! Im stood there in my really sexy white control pants (Gypsy is still snapping away!)
and Minxy is helping me into my dress! It was a bit of a mission cos Minxy couldn’t work out the fastening on my top!!! After a few mins I was in my dress and realised I had lost some weight since id last been measured cos the top wasn’t as fitted, quite chuft about that!
Scott is there fluffing me lol putting shimmering bronzer on any bare bit of flesh and George is fingering my hair! I picked up my bouquet and started my descent down the villa stairs! I felt fantastic and we were only running 25mins late! Everyone that was left downstairs was shocked at the transformation; I wasn’t sure whether to be complimented or insulted lol!
more pics taken then off we went to the car as Shoomie was driving us to the Cala Gracinetta (lazy I know but that lane is gravely!) we got out of the car and had more pics and we walked down the stairs to the beach. I was told to wait as they weren’t ready for me! We waited there for a few mins and I could hear paulys mix of our special songs playing in the restaurant. I was then told to walk down the stairs and just as I started getting to the beach Fleetwood Mac Songbird came on, it was perfectly timed and I had my first emotional moment! Thankfully the wind had died down a bit so we weren’t getting blown all over the place!
As I walked onto the little clearing that was a bit raised from the sand everyone in the restaurant clapped and cheered! It was really nice. I walked around and saw everyone waiting but not Pauly! then Pauly walked out from behind this branch and it was a lovely moment, I felt like it was just me and him there
then to take us from this moment, my brother shouted 'where’s dad?' he’d only gone and told him to wait the other side of the restaurant so he could walk down with me!! So I had to wait and my brother ran off and got my dad!! Comedy moment!Eventually we were all there in front of Alok and thankfully in the shade cos it was turning out to be a scorcher! The service was really nice; Alok put some humour into it and Minxy read a poem. When it came to us saying our vows I had a little moment of sh*t im going to cry, but I held it together! Pauly had a bit of a job getting my ring on! The ceremony lasted about 20mins or so and it was really nice
The first thing I said after it was over was ‘I need a drink!’Next we went to the restaurant and had some cava and shook so many people’s hands and had enough hugs to last me a lifetime lol!
Paulys cd was still playing all our special songs. Lots of pics and filming later, gypsy took us off to have some pics by the beach. I nearly slipped on my dress and pauly had to grab me to stop me falling over! As it happens that is now our favourite pic!
We went back to have some more cava and mingle with everyone then we went up to the villa with Gypsy to have some more pics taken. We were getting slightly sick of pics by this point!!! Gypsy took some really good pics of us then everyone started coming back to the villa. Plenty more pics later then Gypsy left us to it.
We started with bruschettas that were gorgeous but really messy so I only had 1 L a lot more mingling then we were called to sit down. Ed was a bit worse for wear at this point and had stripped to his shorts and was in the pool!!!
We had to get him out and dressed to have the food! We had Tapas next and it was beautiful although me and Pauly werent that hungry, I think the nerves of the day had got to our stomachs a bit! The waiters were really good and were constantly topping us up with wine and sangria and I don’t think I lit my own cigarette all day!!! After the tapas we had all the bbq food which again was delicious but I could hardly eat any of it finally we had the gorgeous dessert, I managed to eat some of that!!! I was getting rather pissed by this point and getting a bith lairy lol! Pauly gave me a strawberry that he had shaped into a heart at the end of the meal and it just summed up the day Wez, Paulys best man made a lovely informal speech and Pauly also said a few words and then he surprised me with a poem he had written about me!
It was amazing! Shoomie then got to the decks and played an ecletic mix of all sorts of tunes, but started with the cricket theme tune into salt and pepa push it!! Believe me it works!! We had our first dance and it went rather silly lol and after that I do struggle to remember much of what happened for the rest of the evening but do remember stripping out of my wedding dress and getting in the pool! Pauly then jumped in fully clothed after me!! I don’t remember getting to bed at all so have no idea if I was carried over the threshold or crawled up the stairs!!All in all a great day and I wish I could do it all again!
