IBIZA vs. CANCUN vs. MIAMI

I have been clubbing / partying in a lot of spots worldwide but coming to Ibiza only first time in July'07. Just was wondering how different Ibiza is from places like cancun, miami, etc... I mean, in Cancun it is pretty easy to pick up chicks as you go, pretty much everywhere (not necessarily in clubs...) What's going on in Ibiza - does pretty much anything goes in terms to make it happen first night? do girls typically mean business, or it's another great clubbing spot for "girls night out":))?

I've been to Miami, many times - no comparison to Ibiza IMHO (WMC..maybe, party/8O wise, overall = NO). The fact you even mentioned Cancun, well......

actually, now that I read the whole thread I think you need to hook up with NICKYBOY

"Ibiza is more than beaches and clubs. it's a magical place with spiritual vibes. People are open and tolerant, nature is everywhere ..."

i think your one of the 'sleazy boys only there to pull' that my girlfriend warned me about playing out with when in ibiza! I think benidorm will do it for you!

Cancun

Mates' are talking about going here (Cancun) for a stag do.. whats it like? For both clubbing and non-clubbing stuff...

many thanks,

Scott

i love it. thank goodness i'm not a clubber. i'd prefer a night with kirstie allsop anytime compared to prancing about with you aesthetes in pacha.

cancun, miami...ibiza

I have done both but am doing Ibiza Aug. Anybody know where good place to stay near Eivissa on beach for 8 days?? Cheers.

i figure:

CANCUN
-nice beaches
-50/50 old to young
-cheap food
-cheap partying
-cheap accommidation
-tourists vs locals attitude
-weak djs

MIAMI
-nice beaches
-40/60 old to young
-expensive food
-very expensive partying
-expensive accommidation
-bad attitudes
-mediocre djs through the year, good at wmc

IBIZA
-nice beaches
-10/90 old to young
-so so priced food
-expensive partying
-cheap accommidation
-everyone is a tourist attitude = good attitude
-good djs

ibiza,miami,cancun

Ibiza has a vibe unlike any other place in the world. You may come to hook up but find yourself catching the fever and just enjoying the beaches, music, and people. I have made life time friends on holiday that I visit all over europe and north america. We all return at the same time to the white isle. I would be willing to bet that you don't get that at other places. The group I meet every year sound like a joke. A brit, a german, and an american (me) walk into a club.... That is why i go back every year; you can pick up anywhere( I hope). The vibe wins out over the rep for wild hedonism, but there is nothing wrong with a little bump and grind. LOL

Burton's summarized it well.

Only comments I would add is that Miami does get good DJs outside of WMC. Not sure that outweighs its bad points, though.

Cancun gets visiting DJs as well - I saw Paul Van Dyk there on Jan 2, and Tiesto and Christopher Lawrence had just been. But it's less frequent, and the people there are far too into their trance for my taste.

The upside of Cancun is visiting Mayan sites like Chichen Itza or Tulum, or visiting the quaint Isla Mujeres. We had a great time because we didn't sit around in the resort all trip, and we certainly didn't go there to party. Oh, and the food rules. I gained 3 kilos.

Nevertheless, if you want a place where you can choose between partying, site seeing, good dining, and relaxing on a beach, Ibiza rules 8)

Ibiza-cheap accomidations, not if your American and the dollar keeps sliding to the Euro. I hope there is an end in sight to the dollars slide, or its going to be one expensive vacation this year.

the music takes you

I met 4 lads from my hometown, Grimsby in Miami, th esexiest place on earth at the UMF festival with the bbc1 weeekender Pete tong. The message here is that the music takes you everywhere with great people. Lovin it
