I'm not going to Ibiza until Dec 27, and going to be there for a week, but I want to know all the do's and don'ts. Should I buy tickets beforehand? Is there a lot going on that week? Is there like a big new years party? What should I bring? What should I NOT bring? Thanks

You're going to manana manana land so don't expect to get listings and what's on til mid December at the earliest.

Pacha is open on NYE, occasionally Amnesia has and either Space or DC10 will probably be open New Years Day.

The island is very different at that time of year to the main tourist season in the summer and is much quieter.

It's good but very different. It depends what you're after from a holiday - if you're expecting the same atmosphere as June - September you'll be very disappointed. If you want to see a different side of Ibiza with very few tourists then it's a great time to go.

As I said Pacha will be open on NYE, Amnesia has previously opened on NYE. When I went over New Year Space was open New Years Day but the last couple of years Space hasn't opened but DC10 has opened on New Years Day instead. That will be about your lot. If you're after a mad weeks clubbing you're going to Ibiza at the wrong time.
