Is it really necessary to buy tickerts beforehand?
I'm not going to Ibiza until December, but I want to know the do's and don'ts. And is there a lot going on in December? Im going from Dec 27 - Jan 3 so hopefully there will be a new year's eve bash. I need all suggestions and tips on what to bring, what to do and all that. Thanks

is it really THAT bad?

I've been for New Year before and loved it (and going again this New Year) but if you expect it to be anything like Ibiza is in the summer months then you'll be very disappointed.

Most of the bars/clubs that are open thru-out the summer won't be open, the main places that are open are frequented by locals thru-out the year.

Ok, so it's not going to be like in the summer months, but does it suck that much that I just shouldnt go?

It depends what you want from a holiday. As I said I've been before and loved it and love the contrast between the summer months but if you tell us what you're expecting from a holiday then we might be able to help you more.

Depends what you want.

If i wanted a hotter holiday and a more hyper nightlife in December - I'd go to Lanzarote or Tenerife etc.

Up to you though fella.

Im taking my girlfriend and shes bringing two of her friends and im bringing two of my friends so was hoping to chill out BUT have fun at the same time at night.. dont want clubs to be empty though

It won't be empty, the crowd will be predominantly Spanish and a few Europeans. As I said I think the island is lovely at this time of year - the days are often sunny (around 20 degrees), the nights can be chilly tho - anyhow it's an infinitely better place to spend NYE than England.

Barbie - Can I be lazy please (instead of searching the forums)? where's good to stay at NY - I pressume Ibiza town will be slightly busier than the resorts of PDB etc? ANy thoughts you can share on past experiences at NY? Cheers

I am with Barbie on this one - would love to spend NY in Ibiza - only thing that has put me off in the past is the crap flights from Britain. I will have to fly to London, then to Majorca or mainland Spain and then on to Ibiza....... nightmare for a few days.... but hopefully this year...... I might make the effort and see the contrast between summer on the Island and Winter....

Dont bother with the Canaries - its crap IMO. Only got the hot weather going for them.... night life is the same as you would expect in any usual town on a weekend...... nothing to write home about....

I'd stay in Ibiza Town, when we came before it was for the Millennium and was part of a package and we had to stay in San Antonio - we couldn't even find a shop open that sold rizlers 8O Ibiza Town is much busier.

There are some apartments/hotels open thru-out the year (there's a few on this site) but we're going to stay in a private apartment this year.

I was thinking about staying in Hotel Pacha, where is that at? I just liked it since its close to Pacha club and its one of the clubs thats gonna be open

You mean El Hotel?? It's directly opposite Pacha, very nice hotel indeed.

Thanks Barbie :D I thought that would be best!

8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O Thought it would be quieter in San An - But that's just scary!!!! How do the locals survive:?

I've looked at apartments in Ibiza town too - Really like the idea of NY there.

Thanks again - most appreciated.

This was going back 6 years ago and even less people went to Ibiza out of season then, they actually had to open the airport specially for us

www.holiday-rentals.com is good for apartments ;)

Also don't know where you'll be looking to fly from but we got brilliant deal from Heathrow with Iberia ;)

Don't mind Koppas, he probably hasn't been to Ibiza at that time.
