Ibiza virgin. My review

Ok, so me & 3 friends booked up in March to spend a week in Ibiza,
.
having been on many lads holidays in the past (Tenerife, Kavos, Aya Napa, Prague, Amsterdam & Malia) I was kind of expecting a standard lads on tour holiday with all the usual tacky refinements - strip of bars, Drunk lads looking for women etc.
Then I came onto this forum & my expectations changed, I now expected loads of serious clubbers on substances all up their own ass not willing to give anyone the time of day

HOW WRONG WAS I !!!!

We arrived at 3am so didn't want to go to a massive night at 3am as only a few hrs left, so we hit the west end for a few drinks & a cheesy night- the west end was just as I thought it would be- tacky but a good cheap laugh with most small clubs there free to get into.

The next day we made sure we headed to the sunset at café mambo & it was amazing & once the sun went down for the night everyone let of a massive cheer & a round of applause- with that atmosphere & the chilled out tunes in the background every hair on my body stood to attention - I knew this was the right choice for our holiday.

Eden - we went to a twice as nice night just to experience it & I have to say- this was a good night & the club was packed.

The next night we again went to Eden, but this time for Wonderland- how different was the club compared to twice as nice? Very different, so much more atmosphere, visuals & proper tunes!

Sunday @ space- WOW! Watching the planes fly literally just above your head on the beach next to space was an experience I will not forget & the club was just as amazing.

Monday @ privilege- again WOW! What a club, what an atmosphere & Tiesto seriously rocked the worlds biggest club- the big screen, the lasers, the people, the roof terrace- totally awesome!

Don't get me wrong, I am not new to clubbing in any way, having spent many nights out in Gatecrasher (before it got burned down) Passion @ the Emporium, Tidy weekenders etc- but this was something else,

San antiono bay- plenty of good bars with quality atmosphere & good music- cheap prices too.

The African guys selling the shades- genius, don't be intimidated by them as they are all up for a laugh too.

Just make sure you take plenty of money as it is expensive out there in the big clubs, but if u are on this forum then u will already know this-
having said that, if u want to then u can go to the shop & buy 1l of vodka for 8 euros & not have to drink much else all night!

All I can say to anyone on here thinking of going to Ibiza is this- stop wasting your time on here reading about the place & get your ass over there to experience it for yourself - Trust me you will not regret it,

someone said that once u go there a part of you falls in love with the Island, sooo true!!!

now stop reading this thread & go book your holiday to Ibiza!!! ;)

a very good report.you right you just fall in love with the place, for me it was in 83.before the big clubs took over.it was just as good then than it is now.but my clubbing days are over, but i still go 2 to 3 times a year.mainly for the atmosphere and the wonderfull people that go.year in year out.

plus you really have to make a effort to enjoy it.get out and about..

i stay in playa den bossa now.and everytime a plane comes over my hotel you get that chill feeling on back off your neck.and yes i have been in space to enjoy this as well.when the old open terrace was there untill a few years ago.this site gives you all the info you need.but like dandan118 says you must get out there and see it for yourself.and then go back again

Nice review dandan, should be read by all those people thinking of going for the first time 8)
