Ibiza Virgin........Matinee at Amnesia?????

Hi guys

Going to Ibiza for 3 days for the 1st time on Saturday.

Saturday evening is meal at Cafe Mambo for a mate's 40th (the reason we are all here), Sunday afternoon is probably Bora Bora, (although from the music I've heard on youtube I'm not that bothered) and Sunday evening hopefully the closing party at Judgement Sunday, plus We Love at Space early on if we can get wristbands. Monday is evening at Cafe Mambo for SHM pre-gig show then Pacha for SHM and then home Tuesday morning :-( unless my lottery numbers have come up Saturday night

And now to my question............I thought we'd end up at Hed Kandi at Es Paradis on Saturday as we'll be at Cafe Mambo and are staying in San An but one of our group is really keen to go to Amnesia. Saturday is our only free night. What is Matinee like??? I'm the only gay guy in our group of 7 and I like the fact it sounds like a pretty metrosexual night and lots of Spanish go. Anyone been and what can we expect music/crowd wise? My mates are all pretty open minded so will it be OK for them?

I will be going on sat also this will be my third time I love it it's very metrosexual and the show is always good. If anything like previous years will be very busy music is house music so I'm guessing by the fact ur going shm I'll enjoy it. For me it's what Ibiza is all about the big shows and great party vibe

Matinee is mostly metrosexual these days. I'd argue that Cafe Ole at Space is the truer gay night now... but even that is pretty mixed....

We went to Cafe Ole a week ago or so ago, I didn't realise it was meant to be a gay night? It didn't seem that way tbh.

What I can say though is the music and atmosphere was great.

Thanks for the replies folks. I'm not actually looking for a gay night I was just checking Matinee wouldn't be too in your face for my mates. But as I edited later, having youtubed the night I wasn't impressed with the music.

Well officially its 'gay friendly'. Still can't believe in 2011 we actually have nights like this. Its Ibiza for christ sake - anything goes......

Lets be fair, you wont hear groundbreaking music at Matinee, but it's good fun if you're in the mood and not too fussed with vocals.

I did find it quite full on when it was at Space, not been to it at Amnesia though so it might've eased off a little. I guess it depends who you end up dancing next to
