Can I ask why the name bora-bhoy?

Where in Kent you from Jippy?

Live in between Herne Bay and Ramsgate (near Manston), go to Canterbury Uni.

where do you go out then in our action packed buzzing corner of the country?

Every weekend we are faced with the same dilema.

Well to start with there is Escape on Margate seafront. Lovely place, full of asylum seekers with knives. Then theres Planets in Herne Bay, not a bad place to go if you mind not to step in the puddles of sick and dont actually look any other person in the eye (otherwise out come those knives). Then, of course, there is the Works in Canterbury - what a prime example of a nightclub the owners are prowd to own, kitted out with the best mini-HiFi speakers Dixons can supply and some nice authentic 1980's paintwork.

Decisions, decisions, decisions. Most weekends we spend so long trying to decide which one of these superclubs to visit that we dont actually make it out, how unfortunate

This corner of the country is a bit of a joke clubbing wise isnt it?!
Hence we always go further afield. Ikon in Maidstone just about every other saturday (damn that club is so under utilised at the moment  did you ever go when ClubClass was at Ikon???), and then we try to make it up to London other weekends - Pacha, Camden Palace (until it closed), etc. If we see a good trance night on we try to go. We actually went up to Pacha for the first time 2 weeks ago for Heat with Alphazone and JFK and Ive got to say that has to be the most glam club in the country. Will def be going back there! And so easy to get to on the train with it being opposite Victoria station.

Have ben to the Loft in Maidstone a few times but I absolutely hate the place, and I cant believe that ClubClass, a promotion that used to put on some of the best dance nights in this half of the country have now gone completely housey AND put bloody hip hop in the bottom room!!!   what has happened to the days when ClubClass @ Ikon used to be absolutely rammed to the rafters with Eddie Halliwell, Matt Hardwick, Julesy, etc banging out some proper hard beats :(

How about yourself?

Forgot to add, I do also take trips to the Venue (the club on the uni campus) every now and again when they bring in the big DJs. Went to Tim Deluxe there a while back and he was good. Great little club considering its on a uni campus.

Oh yeah, we also go to M20 for Devious events (the only quality trance nights this side of London), and also the weekenders when they come this way (camber, etc.). We were booked to go on the Devious/UK Weekender at Norfolk a couple of weekends back until they cancelled it

Its so fantastic to be so spoilt for choice. Escape is a dive, but I have been to quite a few of the Pure Funks put on on bank holidays which are alright, I like funky house and US garage a wee bit more than trance these days. Never had the pleasure of Planets I dont think but did that used to be called somethin else? Haven't been to the works for a few years either! But it sounds like it hasnt changed!

Pretty much only go out out of the area in London or Maidstone. I used to go to Club Class @ Ikon and agree it doesnt ever seem like it used to on those nights. The best time I had there was surprisingly to Boy George! The Loft is not too bad. Been to M20 a few times - too mainstream still. Used to like La Parisienne but thats gone cheesy now too...

Apart from Ibiza we only go clubbin once every month now or sometimes less! :( But whenever we can get up to The Cross/Turnmills/The End/Fabric and some of the guys from this board do the So... events so making a voyage sometime soon!

Someone was telling me there is a new club in Tonbridge the other day - know anything about that? Apparently Jules has played there recently.
