ibiza town

Any one experienced much of ibiza town. All the times iv been to ibiza iv never ventured out there. Taking the missus this year and wondering if this could be a decent place for a few chilled day sessions with some posh grub. And thoughts recommendation would be great

I absolutely love ibiza town and can't understand how so many people just ignore it.

I wouldn't go in the middle of the day in july and august - it's simply too hot often. but late afternoon, towards the evening is a great time. walk up and explore dalt vila before sunset, then have a nice dinner somewhere (there are lots of great places), do a bit of shopping if you like (a lot of the shops are open until midnight in summer) and then go for a few drinks in the port - again huge amount of bars to choose from.

honestly, if I still was a holidaymaker on ibiza, I'd spend a lot of evenings in town instead of any of the big holiday resorts.

Sounds great. I'm planning on exploring this time around. Never really had the chance when been there with the lads. I shall put this to the top of the list of things to do. Cheers for the reply man ☺

I'm surprised to learn that ppl actually ignore Ibiza town on their visits! It's home to Dalt Villa, so they should at least check it out for that.

Let's be honest- PDB and San An don't look a that great. They are a bit dirty in places. Ibiza town has a complete different feel to it, more of a mature crowd as well, and looks a lot cleaner. The architecture is way better with the design of the buildings as well and it looks newer too. Evenings are in fact very relaxing there and pleasant to be in.

I hope to spend more time there this year

It is true, our group of friends have been going for over 10 years and never been. A couple got taxis to the opening party at Dalt Vila and obviously pacha.

Great place to go, especially during the evening. Me and Mrs spent the evening there, had a meal and a few drinks before heading to pacha. Great in the day to explore and decent for shopping.

Problem bring, if the uk trash that prop up the economy of 'bossa' and 'San an' started to infiltrate 'Ibiza town' it wouldn't keep its character.
So enjoy it for what is and let's hope it's stays 'as is' ;-)

Ibiza Town won't be bothered by any "uk trash" invasion mainly because it's not what those people are looking for. "It's too big" "can't find my way way around" "Where do I get the bus from". There's not many Brit owned bars in town and those that are, don't really promote the Carling culture.

I agree 100%, my point was merely a snobby POV aimed at people trying to encourage the masses from the shit holes they visit Ibiza for, as on the off chance they all took advice to have a night there itd change the whole dynamic!
It won't happen anyway
#justsaying :D

For many people the attraction of Ibiza Town is at night, in fact, most of the bars and restaurants only open at night time. More stylish boutiques near the harbor - some very expensive. This area has some excellent restaurants mostly outdoors and only open at night. Also behind the central boulevard, Vara de Rey, there is a square full of cafes & bars.

To enjoy Ibiza Town at night you need to walk around so wear sensible shoes

Start from the corner of the port at the Bar "Mar Y Sol" (outside terrace decent bar & reasonable prices – it’s open nearly 24hrs a day ). This is also a very popular people-watching spot. From there head past the boutiques toward the port. There are many bars and restaurants around this area however starting at "Zoo" they tend to be more for the younger generation and are much more expensive.

Head up towards the Old Town and as long as you are broad minded the Calle Virgen is worth a walk down, it’s the "gay street". Also has some very exclusive & interesting boutiques.

Day or night check out some of the exotic yachts berthed in the port – we have seen some of the biggest & best in the World

The Town has a vibe about it that I have never experienced elsewhere. That's why we have been going for years & years & still look forward to it.
