Ibiza Town or San An???

This July will be my first time in Ibiza and I can't decide on where I want to stay. I'm assuming Ibiza Town and San Antonio are the best places to stay. I'll probably go to Pacha a couple of times while i'm there so I'm leaning towards Ibiza Town.

Can any Ibiza gurus give me advice on whats better, which place is more exciting and where the party is usually happening. Whats the difference between these two areas? Which one has better beaches? Which is more alive and busier?

Any help would be appreciated
 
I've never really been to Ibiza town but I'm almost certain there is no beach there.

Then again, you probably wouldn't really want to spend too much time on the beach in San An either.

Every year we have stayed in San An but we have also had a car - Ibiza Town is only about 20 minute drive. Basically, if you have a car, you are never far from a nice beach
 
The nearest beach is Figueretas apparently. Is this beach any good? Is Ibiza town better by night?
 
To be totally honest with you I have no idea what beach it was - We just got in the car and took random turns here and there; found some superb beaches too.

I've only been in to Ibiza Town when going to Pacha, and we went straight into the club, so I can't really comment on the rest of the night life - I'd imagine it's pretty good though
 
the beach past the San An bay hotels is quite nice.

In Ibiza Town i am not too sure- only ben to the harbour, and old town so far... maybe playa d'en bossa- though need a bus from town?

get a bus 14 to pdb ok,only 5 mins away.or a good 20 min walk,stop off at a few bars that helps.its a nice walk m8 along front.get map off this site
