ibiza town gets rid of the PRs

on august 10th they published an edict to remind the prohibition of oral advertising in the municipality of ibiza (...). the consequences could be seen in recent days in the abnormal tranquility of some streets of la marina


as someone comments below, if a place is good and offers a good service and products it doesn't need PRs in the street.....

Will this roll over and affect San An and PDB as well?

As we use PRs to get the free entry club wristbands. Could this be the beginning of the end of such things?

Like when they banned Pr'ing/flyering from the beaches, the club nights then used processions to publicise their nights. somehting else will evolve.

But Im not 100% in agreement that places with goog service dont need PR's. What happens if a last minute special event happens for example, not everyone checks the internent while on their hols, so how else would they find out about it ?? In tourist resorts there is still much need for PR's, yes have strict controls but a complte ban isnt exactly going to help the already fuct economy IMO.

Just wondering what the vibe is like since they banned the PRs????

I think just about every 18-30 holiday i went on back in the day there was speculation that "PRs had been banned from resort x this year", however when we went out there we just found that the bars were using them in a more underhand manner.

Not neccessary discreet! But unofficial nevertheless.

When I was there last week some of the bars were still using them, especially the area around Zoo bar.

So... do the bars on the left side of Carrer de les Alzines in PdB still have PRs while the ones on the right side (like Koppas) don't? :lol:
 
Update: Looks like that actually happened! A mate of mine who was PR at Kopi wasn't around this year :?
And there were PRs standing across the road :!:
 
The pr was mental at the port every time i've been. Was literally walking 3 feet before another one approached me...
