Ibiza - The Chance to be Yourself

Do you show your true inner self on Ibiza? A chance to show the 'real you' the person who is screaming inside and wanting to be freed the moment you step on the island? And when you leave you feel like there is a special part of you still there on the island, waiting for you to return. And when you book your next trip to Ibiza, the destination is not the island, it is your inner self. You are the destination.

Suffering from self denial.

Did you know only 20% go to Ibiza for the clubs. I wonder what the rest are getting up to? Like most people I go to relax, make friends, chill out, swim, yoga, and best of all for spiritual enlightenment. Let the 'real you' come out. You might discover a whole new experience.

:):rolleyes::cool:

Yeah - but thankfully the real me follows me around. It's just easier to cast off convention publically when you get to Ibiza than many places, because on the whole everyone is very tolerant. When I'm on my own on the island it's very easy to find the "inner self". But then again I find it just as easy in my garden at home - when I am left alone. There's a common theme going there !!!!

I like it here, it's so green and pretty, buts it's far too expensive to live here, that's probably down to all the emperors new clothes notions about spiritual and mystic and all the rest of the VIP cobblers that seem to thrive on this island, maybe with the exception of the clubs, everything available here is available all over the world cheaper and more expensive, I am not knocking the place or the people, but come on, wake up and smell the coffee, the coffee they charge you twice the price for because they are shut six months of the year.

You can be yourself anywhere,

Cheers and appologies if I upset anyone, not my intention

I am myself always. Ibiza just brings out party animal in you...or other sides. I am always gentle and flexible no matter where i travel. It Is the atmosphere that changes
.... the environment Some are more welcoming than others. Just an example: I am not gay but this Perception changes depending on where you are. How welcoming the environment Is and how open or liberal people are. And how tolerant one Is. At least that has been my perspective. Overall i think ibiza justo brings out the wild side inside. Artistic. Touristy. Etc. But personally i try to stay the same.

If you need to come to Ibiza to be yourself you're not coming to Ibiza to be yourself you're coming to be something you're not. I visit Ibiza because it facilitates me being able to be myself ie be spontaneous Do what I want when I want wake up, go for a swim on a nice beach, maybe go for a drive somewhere and have lunch somewhere nice then have a few beers on a beach maybe a little session at Bora Bora and maybe almost always a night out with good music.

For me maybe it's just me but whilst I love scoping out this site for lineups and planning a trip, I love the fact that you can plan all you like but often You end up somewhere different doing the opposite of what you planned.

I'm more my true inner self back home. In ibiza if I want to see a DJ I like I have to attend clubs that have VIP areas for self proclaimed VIPs. My true self doesn't go to places like that. In ibiza I have no choice because even those that claim to be more underground have VIP areas. Also I love the decor of the big clubs and how they have dancers, put shows on etc, it's different and I like it. If they had manumission back I'd be there (as long as the music wasn't garbage). But that's what I want from ibiza, not what I want back home. Same as I wouldn't want ibiza to be only dark, dingy, stripped back venues (although one or two wouldn't go amiss!)

Myself and Bernadette pretended to be each other on Ibiza. I don't think The Lord will forgive the things she did while being me:(

I don't know why you liked this @MiniMarc . Bernadette's reputation as me has led to me getting offers of situations I didn't know existed. And I thought it was polite to say yes. If Sister Murphy could see me now. I hope she doesn't have the internet, or she might!

Your posts get worse
I'm hoping from the time it was made you'd had a few ales

My posts are fine. Hold your tongue and have a beer. :D

Flying to Ibiza next month again. A chance to relax and yes "be ourselves". I have noticed over the years that friends and work colleagues behave far nicer on Ibiza than back home. There is complete freedom to express your real self. To coin a phrase, We toss our cares away and forget our troubles back home. When we are on the white island we are different people. Not literally of course, but our subconscious desires are immediately awoken the instant we set foot on Ibiza soil. There is allegedly a strong magnetic force which attracts visitors to return each year. As I understand there is no magnetic force at all. It is simply our will which is passionately telling our inner selves to return each year because that part of us is home sick for Ibiza, that special place where love and happiness is all around us.

.....and no. I haven't smoke or drank anything tonight. I speak from the heart and mind and after decades living in Northern Ireland, where peace and kindness to each other is temporary at best, violent at worst. What a blessing Ibiza is to so many.
