Hello Ibiza goers - I am a freelance feature writer trying to get a story together about exciting times in Ibiza. Think Ibiza uncovered, Brits on tour..kind of stories...the juicier the better - although nothing about hard drugs or porn - I dont write for those sorts of publications!

If you have any wild stories, please let me know.

trying to promote the Island of Ibiza then? Those horrid articles have done more harm to the Island than the drug/sex side imo....

Sorry Emily, I'm not sure you'll get the required response here.

Perhaps if you were looking for a more informative subject to your journalism, we on here could help you out with a few ideas - not least of all how about an article the changes (and the misconceptions in the original piece) in the last 5 years that has led Ibiza away from the "Ibiza Uncovered" image that tarnished the populist view of the beauiful place.

Better still, I'd heavily suggest you go out there yourself and experience it all! I dare say you won't be out there long before you have a story of your own to tell, and I'd anticipate it's alot better than the ones your perhaps fishing for now ;)

It's a damn good job I'm a reformed character ;)

Only a tiny minority of idiots have the kind of holidays you describe. The majority of us are grown up adults who go to Ibiza every year for the clubs, fabulous restaurants, great beaches and friendly atmoshphere. Ibiza Uncovered was NOTHING like the real Ibiza.

Why don't you write an article about how Ibiza is mis-represented in the press, I'm sure you'll get a much better response. :roll:
 
regrettably ALL my best stories involve both hard drugs and porn.

none of them however occurred in Ibiza

shame because i would have loved to tell you.

btw, are all the story ideas you pitch 5 years out of date?

Here's one for ya...

Once I met this dumb tart called Emily C. She thought she was a journalist but instead of actually talking to people or doing some actual research on an angle that hadn't been done to death she posted on a web site asking for unsubstantiated PG-rated anecdotes.

However she'd come to the wrong place because as our good buddy russ points out, all we do here is wife swap while ingesting truck loads of high grade pharmaceuticals.

If you really are a journalist, this post is as amateurish as it gets. You obviously haven't bothered to read other contributions in this forum because if you had, you'd have realised you were asking the wrong question of the wrong people.

Like Dan said, why not go and find out for yourself? Whats the point in relying on some anonymous tales of debauchery, most likely inaccurate or made-up, in order to sell a "spicey" ibiza article to some ****ing stupid magazine/newspaper anyway???

Nice to see someone trying to write an article without actually visiting the place first hand. People like this have done more damage to ibiza's reputation than good. Get your sorry arse out there experience the place - then you will realise that the ibiza uncovered thing was quite possibly the biggest pile of turd ever seen.
