Ibiza Spotlight T-Shirts?

Just an idea but what about having a bit of merchandising...yes our very own tribal colours? Somethin to wear when out and about on the Island so fellow Spotlighters can be recognised and buy each other a beer, get discount in bars and clubs, VIP passes, private jet, free holidays,my god I`m gettin carried away!...as we speak!!
 
i think this would be a nice idea....who's going to do the logo then??! 8)

I'm thinking something along the lines of the Defected t-shirts.....

"Spotlight in da House"......

It's wired but i've never quite the got the idea of 8 lads (or ladies) wearing t-shirts with their nick names or some other 'funny' expression. Don't they realise they look stupid? + if they wear it most days for 2 weeks a surely they dont wash them?

Anyway a few years back the Mrs & I were staying in San An and noticed that opposite to our opinions these types of guys seemed to be getting MORE girls than 'cooler' looking types.......

Makes you wonder :?
 
Whilst in Ibiza in 1990 i saw these types. They weren't cool then and they aren't cool now!
 
easy now fellas ..the poor guy only has got 7 posts....he hardly was going to suggest getting a t-shirt made up with "On the piss IBIFA 2004" emblazoned on the back was he!!?? None of us on here wouldn't be seen dead wearing something that makes us look like we are on a stag week - each with our own nickname on the back!!! no thanks 8O

I was just arguing that you could easily make a subtle and nicely designed t-shirt (a cool one) but its not exactly gonna happen if you all piss on his fire from a great height. I think from a merchandise point of view james and stephen could have a lot worse ideas!! record labels make cool t-shirts, all the decent bars and record shops sell them....why not this site?

I challenge anybody on here who has got a design programme on their pc to make a cool logo.....

i didn't mean spotlight newbie! i meant ibiza newbie, island 1st timers. :lol:

Some great people on this forum, and I love talking about Ibiza (and other random stuff on here) - but I wont be wearing any kind of sloganed T-shirt when I'm on the islands!

Sorry!!! :lol: 8)
 
I think i have been a bit misunderstood here....i'm thinking from a commercial point of view for Stephen and James.

Also i was kind of thinking along the lines a friend of mine followed....he's an illustrative graphic designer who started his own t-shirt range up with really nice understated designs - they got sold in a few really nice mens clothing shops in london for a while. Cheap to make - nice to look at and a good profit.

i wasn't really expecting some "Ibifa Spotlight 2004" slogan - oh well :roll: i'll just shut up now.....

the idea is a good one and something we have discussed, but i'm afraid at the moment we just don't have the time to do it.

i keep on waiting for someone to invent the 35 hour day so we can realise a half of the ideas we have ;-)
